Role Description As the Lead Architect, you will serve as the technical backbone of our client's AI-first aviation platform. You will own the architectural strategy and technical blueprint for a cutting-edge ecosystem that transforms aircraft maintenance, supply chain operations, and fleet management. Operating in a cloud-native, high-throughput environment, you will anchor the design of distributed systems, intelligent automation, and robust enterprise integrations that handle mission-critical aviation workflows. This role is critical to accelerating the platform's mission of driving operational efficiency for global airlines and MROs. By bridging the gap between advanced data science and scalable software engineering, your leadership will directly impact how the aviation industry leverages intelligent automation, ensuring our platform remains secure, resilient, and highly performant as we scale. Key Responsibilities - Define and own the overarching architectural strategy and technical standards for Airvoyant's AI-powered SaaS platform. - Design and scale cutting-edge solutions leveraging Generative AI, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG patterns, and intelligent workflow automation. - Architect and govern highly resilient cloud-native applications, secure APIs, microservices, and robust event-driven systems on AWS. - Partner and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to translate complex business needs into elegant, scalable technical solutions. - Drive and execute technology selection, rapid proof-of-concepts, and comprehensive architecture reviews across the engineering organization. - Mentor and anchor engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, deep ownership, and continuous innovation. Qualifications - 10+ years of professional software engineering and architecture experience. - 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS (including Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, EventBridge, and SQS/SNS). - Proven track record in AI/LLM-based solutions, distributed systems, enterprise integration patterns, and event-driven architectures. - Strong leadership presence, exceptional stakeholder management, and an unyielding ownership mindset. - Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is mandatory for seamless collaboration with US-based stakeholders. Nice to Have - Experience architecting data-intensive solutions leveraging Amazon Redshift and Amazon S3 Data Lakes for advanced AI/ML analytics. - Hands-on exposure to vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) and modern AI orchestration platforms (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex). - Domain experience within aviation, MRO, airline operations, or complex supply chain systems. - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional credential.
