• Design and implement physical data models in Snowflake, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability. • Translate conceptual and logical models into Snowflake-ready schemas, tables, and views. • Collaborate with data engineers to refine ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns. • Align models and metadata with governance standards and tools, including Collibra. • Ensure all modeling and transformation logic is well-documented for traceability and compliance. • Support performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines. • Work in a distributed, global environment with both technical and business stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience as a Data Modeler or similar role.
- Proven expertise in Snowflake physical data modeling and SQL.
- Understanding of data integration and ETL/ELT principles; experience with tools like dbt, Matillion, or Fivetran is a plus.
- Experience with metadata and data governance platforms, ideally Collibra.
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly S3 is a plus.
- Solid grasp of data modeling best practices (e.g., star schema, normalization, data vault).
- Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences data and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with data quality tools such as Ataccama.

Role Description J.S. Held is seeking a Principal Epidemiologist to join our Health Sciences practice. This role is ideally suited for a senior consulting professional who combines deep technical expertise in epidemiology with a strong seller–doer mindset, experience supporting litigation and regulatory matters, and the ability to contribute meaningful revenue growth through an established client base. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering expert-driven analyses and testimony across complex disputes, regulatory investigations, and high-impact advisory engagements. While preference will be given to candidates with expertise in occupational or environmental epidemiology, we are open to adjacent disciplines (e.g., pharmacoepidemiology, injury epidemiology) where there is a demonstrated track record in litigation, risk assessment, or regulatory support.
