Role Description This position offers FULLY REMOTE opportunities for candidates across the United States. Preferred work locations: Arlington VA, Denver CO, Houston, TX or Merritt Island, FL. Airbus U.S. is looking for an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineer to develop solutions for satellite Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems. We're looking for candidates who can bring exceptional engineering skills and strong experience in aerospace programs to the team. Position Responsibilities: - Contributing to the development of Airbus U.S.'s satellite GNC systems. - Involved in the full lifecycle of development, from requirements definition through operations. - Eager to learn, grow, and take on new and potentially unfamiliar challenges. Guidance, Navigation, and Control - 50% - Design and implement GNC designs for new spacecraft to accommodate various mission payloads. - Analyze, design, and/or develop GNC systems including: - Sensors and actuators - Algorithms and flight software - GNC electronics - Support the development of subsystem level requirements and requirement flow-down. - Ensure maximum reuse of existing Airbus heritage products and identify modification needs. - Drive multiple design activities (programs or mission). - Participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution. Simulation Development - 40% - Support Airbus spacecraft development product roadmap, including design adjustments, schedule, and cost targets. - Support the definition of spacecraft customization process for customer mission needs. Additional Responsibilities - 10% - Perform all necessary GNC system engineering activities to build, maintain, and evolve Airbus spacecraft products. - Promote and optimize cost savings by reusing heritage platform designs. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas. - Preferred: Master's in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas. Requirements - 8+ years' experience (w/ Bachelor's degree) / 6+ years' experience (w/ Master's degree) in guidance, navigation, and control system analysis, design, and verification on spacecraft. - Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and STK. - Proficiency in modeling, simulating, and analyzing the performance of spacecraft GNC sensors, actuators, dynamics, and algorithms. - Familiarity and experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML/UML). - Familiarity with software development, verification, and validation. - Experience with object-oriented programming (C, C++) and scripting languages (TCL, Python). • Contribute and support Fire Protection engineering, fire and life safety systems, code compliance, and risk assessment efforts for the firm. • Develop comprehensive fire protection plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. • Execute engineering and design duties as required to ensure quality products. • Direct and mentor subordinate staff, where applicable, on their responsibilities. • Design layout of distribution systems and equipment locations in coordination with team members within the discipline.

• Perform engineering tasks to maintain operational readiness of endpoint protection solutions • Install, configure, and audit endpoint protection solutions • Handle client incidents and escalations • Review and consult on product, solution, and client change control requests • Understand the client’s end goals and help create a plan to achieve them • Participate in an on-call rotation

• Provide operational and engineering support to Marine Vessels • Perform engineering analysis and documentation of vessel’s condition • Manage vessel machinery performance and efficiency • Provide engineering support to management in repair, modification, and overhaul of vessels • Coordinate with external engineering consultants and vendors • Ensure proficiency in using and testing electronic equipment • Conduct inspections of vessels to confirm adherence to safety regulations • Provide engineering guidance in support of skilled mariners • Train and operate the vessel’s firefighting system • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
