Senior Associate, Policy
Avalere
• Assist senior staff with account stewardship through management of cross-functional projects • Coordinate subject matter experts, technical staff, vendors/partners, client teams, and others for efficient operation and delivery of projects • Support the development of strategic and tactical recommendations for Avalere clients • Manage short- and long-term deliverables • Collaborate and bridge work between practices, becoming a recognized resource within the firm and to clients • Develop and maintain a professional level of knowledge regarding Avalere’s services and products
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Graduate degree in public policy, health sciences, health policy, epidemiology/biostatistics or public health
- Subject matter expertise in healthcare policy
- Policy analysis and characterization of legislative & regulatory impacts, challenges, and unintended consequences
- Qualitative and quantitative public health research methods
- Analyzing policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulation
- Superior oral and written communications skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Ability to effectively synthesize research into PowerPoint presentations
- Commitment to working in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to initiate and drive projects to completion
- Problem definition and resolution skills
- High degree of work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
