Cash Application Specialist
Baylor Genetics
• Post payments accurately and promptly from various sources including clients, insurance companies, and patients. • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure batches are posted correctly and that all unapplied cash is accounted for. • Track daily cash sheets and save ACH transaction details, copies of checks, and payment advice. • Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts to balance at the end of each month. • Obtain addenda information from Bank of America and payment advice from clients and payors. • Post and manage ERA files efficiently and understand how to interpret Explanation of Benefits. • Coordinate with the accounting team regularly to ensure monthly financial balancing and resolve any discrepancies immediately. • Assist in developing and implementing processes that improve and streamline financial procedures. • Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Director of Billing and Senior Director of Revenue Cycle and Optimization
Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in revenue cycle management.
- Proficient in reading Explanation of Benefits (EOB), posting ERA payments, and manual posting.
- Experience with processing credit card transactions.
- Proven ability to reconcile payments and batches effectively.
- Proven experience as a Cash Application Specialist

• The Senior Meeting Planner is responsible for the independent planning and execution of small (under 50 attendees) meetings and events. • Accountable for updating internal systems in a timely manner and communicating program details to all necessary internal departments. • On-site management and travel may be required. • Independently coordinate all program logistics for both live and virtual events, including venue/site selection, contract negotiations, travel, food and beverage, meeting room set-up, virtual platform management and audio-visual coordination, rooming lists, and ancillary vendors. • Responsible for audience generation (recruitment) and attendee data management, including post-meeting compliance Sunshine Act reporting. • Process and manage healthcare professional payments and vendor invoices. • Track and prepare accurate attendee spend reports. • Review and reconcile final invoices and pass-through cost reconciliation within mandated timelines. • Update templates and meeting materials containing program information and coordinate distribution to all targeted attendees. • Coordinate outsourced ground transportation arrangements for attendees, faculty, client, and staff and update and manage an accurate Arrival and Departure manifest. • Work with internal departments to ensure timely coordination and appropriate planning. • Maintain ongoing dialogue with manager and project team throughout life of the program to evaluate progress and respond to any changes in the scope of the program.
• Deliver industry-leading services including call center staffing for product information requests • Identify and intake of adverse events and/or product quality issues • Medical writing and triage drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals • Maintain excellent business results and coordinate with various departments as necessary
