Craft Safety Technician
Babcock Power
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. • Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs for craft personnel. • Promote a culture of safety by actively engaging with employees in discussions about safe work practices. • Document and report safety observations, incidents, and near misses, following up on corrective actions. • Work closely with the safety management team to update safety protocols and processes as needed. • Participate in safety meetings and share valuable insights to improve safety performance. • Support the implementation of job safety analyses (JSAs) and ensure they are maintained and followed.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in a safety-related role within the construction or power delivery industry.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and general construction safety practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with craft personnel effectively.
- Ability to identify hazards and provide practical solutions to promote a safe work environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of hire if not already certified.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed.
