Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician

OBR Cooling Towers

• Perform cleaning tasks with precision and attention to detail to ensure equipment quality. • Proficient in the safe operation of power washers, with knowledge of appropriate spray head selection and usage. • Follow instructions from supervisors to support safe, efficient, and timely project completion. • Uphold OBR’s standards of safety, efficiency, and quality throughout all phases of work. • Work diligently to maintain high cleaning standards without compromising project timeliness or safety. • Perform pre- and post-treatment activities, including accurate measurement of free chlorine levels in cooling tower circulating water. • Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and technical competence in daily duties. • Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) cards and other safety documentation accurately and on schedule. • Read, interpret, and apply information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); practice proper chemical handling techniques. • Perform work at heights while maintaining 100% tie-off when above 4 feet. • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent, Field Managers, Area Managers, or Foreman.

Job Requirements

  • Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of U.S. Citizenship
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Score of 2 or less in a DISA background screen
  • OSHA 10 Certification (preferred)
