Role Description This role leads the US upstream clinical and economic evidence strategy for the Ion Business Unit, focusing on generating the evidence required to unlock and scale coverage, vet and pursue traditional and innovative payment models, and secure requisite codes for new and evolving Ion-enabled procedures and technologies. You own the strategy that connects product and procedural innovation to credible clinical outcomes, health-system impact, and payer decision needs—translating that evidence into coverage-ready narratives, bespoke payment models, and implementation plans tailored to Ion’s unique value propositions. You will work closely with US Commercial, Medical Office, Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical Development Engineering, Clinical Marketing, and Legal/Compliance. Key Responsibilities - Upstream Responsibilities: - Set the US upstream evidence strategy: Define a 3–5 year US evidence roadmap for Ion upstream initiatives, tied to clear coverage, coding, payment, and adoption milestones. - Drive coverage-oriented study design: Lead design and prioritization of clinical and economic studies that answer US payer, CMS/MAC, and provider decision-maker questions, including clinical outcomes, safety, utilization, site-of-service, pathway/resource use, and budget impact. - Own "coverage-grade" evidence packages: Build cohesive evidence narratives and submission-ready materials (clinical summaries, evidence tables, economic analyses, RWE plans) to support payer medical policies, CMS/MAC discussions, and external technology assessments where applicable. - Upstream policy and pathway strategy: Partner with market access and policy teams to map and influence US pathways for new capabilities, including coding strategy inputs, payment adequacy, coverage routes, and development of product-specific reimbursement models. - Clinical-economic translation for new procedures: Translate new procedure concepts into measurable endpoints and value drivers, ensuring relevance to US reimbursement and provider economics. - Downstream/Field Responsibilities: - Drive commercial integration of bespoke payment models: Work with payers, health systems, and policy stakeholders to design and pilot evidence-supported reimbursement models tailored to Ion's product portfolio and pipeline. - Lead payer engagement and contracting support: Direct interactions with national and regional payers to secure favorable coverage policies, formulary placement, and reimbursement terms. - Develop and execute pull-through strategies: Design and implement programs to convert coverage wins into market adoption, including provider education and reimbursement support tools. - Own field reimbursement enablement: Lead development of reimbursement resources, coding guidance, claims support tools, and training materials for sales teams and customer-facing staff. - Manage accounts receivable and claims optimization: Partner with revenue cycle and commercial operations to monitor denial rates, appeals processes, and payment velocity. - Provider economic modeling and ROI tools: Create and maintain customer-facing economic models, budget impact calculators, and ROI analyses. - Coverage gap analysis and mitigation: Continuously monitor coverage landscape, identify gaps in access, and develop tactical plans to address barriers. - Payer medical policy monitoring and response: Track updates to commercial and Medicare policies, assess impact on business, and coordinate cross-functional responses. - Customer reimbursement support infrastructure: Establish and oversee hotlines, portals, or dedicated teams that provide real-time coding, billing, and reimbursement guidance. - Management of internal and external stakeholders and enablers: - External engagement and scientific positioning: Build senior relationships with US KOLs, societies, guideline influencers, health-system leaders, and payers. - Cross-functional leadership and governance: Act as the upstream evidence and reimbursement "single-threaded leader" for US initiatives. - Lead vendors, budgets, and execution: Manage CROs, HEOR vendors, data partners, and consultancies. - Track impact and adapt: Define and monitor KPIs and use payer feedback to continuously refine the roadmap. Qualifications - Advanced clinical, scientific, or health-economics degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MPH, MSc). - 10+ years of progressive experience in clinical evidence, medical affairs/clinical strategy, HEOR, reimbursement/coverage strategy, or market access for medical devices or interventional procedures in the US. - Demonstrated experience designing or leading evidence programs tied to US coverage and/or payment outcomes. - Strong understanding of US reimbursement mechanics and evidence expectations. - Ability to communicate effectively with senior clinical leaders, payer stakeholders, and internal executives. - Proven success leading complex, matrixed programs spanning multiple functions and external partners. Preferred - Experience in interventional pulmonology, thoracic oncology, bronchoscopy, lung nodule management, or adjacent procedural domains. - Experience supporting coding and/or CMS payment processes. - Experience with RWE/registry programs and large US data sources. - Prior people leadership and/or substantial matrix leadership responsibility. Benefits - Market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. - Remote work flexibility.

Role Description For years, Transcend has partnered directly with communities to lead and facilitate multi-year school redesign journeys. That work has taught us something important: lasting transformation doesn’t come from outside support alone, it comes from local leaders who are equipped to drive change themselves. This role sits at the center of that strategic shift by helping us design, scale, and bring to market the credentials, certifications, and capacity-building offerings that make community-led transformation possible. As the Partner, Strategy for this team, you will sit at the center of multiple priorities. This role supports go-to-market strategy, leads the team's learning agenda, connects and coordinates across functions, and ensures the work progresses with clarity and momentum. It's a high-leverage role for someone who can operate at both the strategic and execution level - shaping direction one moment and driving follow-through in the next. If you're energized by complexity, and thrive in bringing order, clarity, and momentum to a fast-moving team, this role is for you. In This Role, You Will Get To - Partner on Strategy and Direction - Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Managing Partner, helping to shape priorities, plans, and key decisions. - Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans and aligned workstreams. - Prepare synthesis, recommendations, and materials that support strong internal and external decision-making. - Develop and Drive a Go-to-Market Strategy - Support the development and refinement of our go-to-market strategy for external capacity-building and certification offerings. - Help define target audiences, value propositions, and partner pathways. - Partner with Business Development and Portfolio teams to align strategy with external opportunities. - Ensure internal clarity and consistency in how offerings are understood and communicated across the organization. - Hold the Team's Learning Agenda and Strategic Research - Steward the School Design, Learning & Development Team’s learning agenda, ensuring key questions are clearly defined and prioritized. - Conduct and synthesize research across internal pilots, partner work, and external models. - Translate insights into clear implications for strategy, offerings, and decisions. - Ensure learning is systematically captured and used to continuously improve the work. - Drive Cross-Functional Alignment and Momentum - Serve as a central connector across teams contributing to capacity building (e.g., Portfolio teams, Program Team, Business Development, Legal). - Ensure alignment across strategy, tools, experiences, and certification efforts. - Identify gaps, overlaps, and inconsistencies and drive toward greater coherence. - Support the Managing Partner in setting and maintaining clear priorities across the School Design, Learning & Development Team. - Drive planning and tracking processes (e.g., quarterly priorities, step-backs, progress monitoring). - Ensure strong communication, role clarity, and follow-through across workstreams. - Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and areas requiring attention. - Lead Strategic and Cross-Cutting Projects - Own and execute high-priority, ambiguous projects that advance the capacity strategy. - Bring structure and clarity to early-stage work and move it toward concrete outcomes. - Ensure projects are grounded in both strategic intent and practical execution. Qualifications - Deep commitment to Transcend’s mission of transforming education and a passion for designing learning experiences where all students thrive. - Curiosity, care, and a drive to make meaningful change. - Strong strategic synthesis skills. - Excellent cross-functional coordination. - A practical, execution-oriented mindset. - Strong research and learning synthesis skills. - Go-to-market fluency. - Strong planning and project management instincts. - Clear, compelling written communication. - A track record of operating at the intersection of strategy and execution.
