Investment Analyst

• Assist in the development and evaluation of investment strategies, incorporating results of asset modeling, reporting, and analysis, ensuring appropriate alignment with ALM, earnings, and capital, while managing to Investment Guidelines. • Provide support for senior members of the Investments team in the evaluation of information used in various asset modeling, portfolio optimization, and trade program process. • Coordinate, automate and manage consolidated reporting for the Company’s investment portfolio. • Help communicate investment directives and needs to the external asset managers in a timely and regular manner. • Liaise with Treasury/Middle Office/Investment Accounting to ensure trade activity is flowing appropriately to downstream systems. • Improve operational efficiency of the cash management process. • Manage the investment data process; automate existing processes; integrate various systems. • Detect and correct data errors coming from the existing database • Help in the calculation of CECL allowances for impairments • Collaborate cross-functionally across departments such as Actuarial and Finance FPA to communicate investment activity for use in actuarial modeling and corporate planning and analysis. • Provide ad-hoc analytical requests

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, investments or related field.
  • 1-3 years of investment-related experience
  • Expertise in analytic systems linkage and report automation
  • CFA and/or ASA designation preferable
  • Strong capabilities required in MS Excel and Powerpoint; familiarity with Access/database, SQL, VBA, Bloomberg and FactSet (or similar)
  • Strong capabilities preferred in Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Clearwater

Role Description Atlantic Coast Mortgage is seeking a skilled Condo Project Underwriter to work directly with our Underwriting team to help develop a dedicated Condo Desk that will support condominium reviews from initial intake through final certification.
