Computer Operator
Modern Woodmen of America
• Operates computer equipment for scheduled, special, and test programs. • Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and EOY operation schedules and reports, analyzing projects to determine best schedule for production. • Receives and transmits data among third parties and monitors production processing. • Monitors printing systems so that the files are ready to be printed. • Works with external hardware and software vendors to schedule maintenance, software/hardware updates or changes. • Records and logs all production job errors, warning and operations problems. • Communicates with appropriate Information Technology staffing concerning job scheduling, production status, and equipment/program malfunctions. • Maintain Operational and Computer Room documentation for internal and external audit requirements. • Perform other duties as directed.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree or specialized training in computer operations or related field, is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of working with Windows OS Servers.
- Working knowledge of batch systems, including monitoring and relaying critical incidents to the appropriate parties.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team structure.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn.
