• Executes and refines program initiatives to meet organizational goals. • Develops and refines the scope of the program in response to evolving organizational and community context. • Supports program initiatives with other key data. • Face and voice to the media, immediate community, community leaders at all government levels. • Plans the program from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes. • Develops, manage, track and report operational budget for the program. • Meets with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals. • Devises evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements. • Supervises project /site managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems. • Discovers ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people. • Applies change, risk and resource management principles when needed. • Ensures program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies. • Keeps senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations. • Hires, trains and is a motivating mentor to staff. • Creates and nurtures effective communication within the organization. • Builds strong team through open communication and by collaborating on decision-making responsibilities. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 years related experience with government funded programs.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills required to manage a staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
- Excellent communication and time management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve and drive results. Moves quickly, is adaptable and thrives in ambiguity.
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely at a level appropriate to the target audience.
- Bilingual preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required.
- Ability to pass a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Role Description The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Service Operations Manager leads and manages the VMI Replenishment Planning teams across the enterprise in all operational activities, ensuring results, metrics, and training and development are executed. This position is responsible for the management and optimization of VMI database and components such as current inventory, forecast, knowledge of product movement and replenishment. This position acts as a problem solver, independent decision-maker and liaison between customers and various company departments and functions (all aspects of supply chain).
