- Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5

• Take ownership of assigned gameplay features, ensuring they are fully implemented, polished, and aligned across involved disciplines • Design, implement, and maintain core gameplay systems within Unreal Engine 5, working primarily in C++ with a strong focus on replication and performance • Debug, fix, and optimize gameplay related issues throughout the production process • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to deliver cohesive and well integrated gameplay systems • Report progress, risks, and technical decisions to the Technical Director
• Own the full technical side of the game: gameplay systems, editor tooling, optimisations, and engine-level work. • Manage gameplay mechanics: unit systems, combat, AI, economy logic. • Develop editor tooling: custom UE5 tools for fast design iteration. • Conduct performance & optimisation: profiling, CPU/GPU budgeting at RTS scale. • Engage in engine development: subsystems, rendering tweaks, custom plugins.
