Role Description The Energy Systems Engineering Group is seeking a Post Doctoral Researcher to join a dynamic research program at the intersection of power systems monitoring, statistical signal processing, and emerging grid reliability challenges posed by evolving load profiles and generation mixes. The ideal candidate will have: - A strong foundation in power systems dynamics - Familiarity with time-synchronized measurements and wide-area measurement systems - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and MATLAB - Experience with positive-sequence and/or EMT dynamic modeling - Proficiency with commercial simulation platforms such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, or PSCAD - Strong technical writing skills - Experience with data analytics, machine learning, or AI applications - Familiarity with version control platforms such as Git Beyond technical skills, we are looking for an intellectually curious, self-directed researcher who thrives in a collaborative, multi-institutional environment. Role Description This position is under the China AI & Data Management Domain, specifically focusing on China data management and analytics, AI, and Open Source technologies. This position also requires creating robust and market-leading research content and delivering consulting projects. What You’ll Do - Independent Research: Collect first-hand data and product strategy information on data analytics, data agents, and open source model vendors in the market, and investigate the latest progress and differentiated features of leading products. - Business Analysis: Analyze and assess the development trends of data management and data analytic tools, open source models. Create in-depth analysis on market trends, competitor analysis, product assessments, and market forecasts. - Report Writing: Create market research, data analysis, market trend forecasting, and product evaluation reports. - Consulting Services: Provide clients with technical, product, and market consulting services related to data management and analytic market. Qualifications - Master's degree or above, preferably in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related fields. - Strong English proficiency, enabling independent research on cutting-edge technologies, mainstream products, and commercialization progress of the global data and AI market. - Over 3 years of work experience in the IT field, preferably in data analytics, software development, Cloud, or AI domains. - Fundamental knowledge in software/Cloud development. - Deep understanding of Cloud architecture; knowledge of Open Source would be a huge plus. - Demonstrate independent research capabilities, deep analytical thinking, rigorous logic, and the ability to independently write reports and deliver consulting projects. - Must be able to communicate clearly in Mandarin and English in a business environment; public speaking experience would be a plus. - Must be able to create written content in Chinese and English.
