We are seeking an agile, passionate, results oriented Software Engineer to work with our current design team. As part of the TurboPass development team, you will be involved in all stages and areas of software development as well as architecture, design, performance, evaluation, code review, and internal tool management. Responsibilities - Apply software engineering principles to analyze, problem solve, and design a solution - Analyze existing systems to provide recommendations for improvement. - Monitoring system performance and performing predictive maintenance. - Performing system risk and reliability analysis - Assessing new technologies before adoption and implementation - Create technical specifications. - Adopt agile methodologies to develop software. - Develop and execute project plans. - Develop and maintain design documentation. - Develop products throughout the full lifecycle, turning concepts into production-ready code. - Document all change management and any changes to code. - Develop API/User Guides for customers
Job Requirements
- Skills and Qualifications
- PHP / Laravel / HTML / CSS / JavaScript
- AWS / EC2 / S3
- Ubuntu / Nginx / Terraform
- MySQL
- Self-directed. History of training other engineers.
- Comfortable with ambiguous requirements. An ability to make decisions when obvious, while notifying others of such decisions, and communicating clearly when tradeoffs are present.
- Ability to utilize project management software (e.g. Jira Software, Confluence, Slack, etc.)
- Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 5 years in software development role (preferably FinTech or data solutions provider)
- Adopting Agile methodologies to develop software
- Ensuring proper documentation
- Analysis of user requirements, software, and code.
- Monitoring systems performance.
- Perform maintenance and software integrations for existing systems.
- Maintain or exceed compliance with industry standards.
- Application development for the full lifecycle of software.
- Identify and assess new technologies prior to implementation.
