College Access Coach
Let's Get Ready
• Reporting to a Program Manager, College Access Coaches are dynamic and motivated undergraduate students who virtually support high school students in their journeys to college. • Respond to student text messages received on our texting platform Mainstay within 24 hours • Check Mainstay messaging platform daily, at minimum an hour a day to ensure all messages are seen and being responded to • Provide engaging support to students, including advice, resources and encouragement around topics such as: completing tasks to apply for college, completing financial applications, enrolling into a college, talking to their guidance counselor, accessing academic support, school-work-life balance, and other obstacles • Offer a college perspective - sharing relevant stories from your experience as a college student to help students navigate their own journey • Send relevant tip sheets from LGR curriculum and guide students to make good use the school resources available to them • Develop warm rapport with students and ask follow-up questions, with the goals of increasing program engagement and supporting matriculation and persistence in college • Creatively develop relationships with a caseload of students by sending individualized text messages and emails with additional resources • Complete virtual learning modules (LGR360) in a timely manner, which cover topics such as culturally responsive mentorship, active listening, and how to facilitate student goal setting • Conduct mandatory monthly check-in calls via phone/video to students for further assistance with the college access process • Track communication with mentees using our Salesforce data platform • Attend weekly supervision meetings (video) with Program Manager to discuss progress towards goals, quality of engagement with students, troubleshoot issues, flag urgent/sensitive situations, and plan for the upcoming week • Participate in mandatory monthly coach meetings for professional development and to discuss critical programmatic updates
Job Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate student or have graduated within the past 1–2 years
- Be extremely comfortable building rapport virtually via phone calls, email, text messaging, live video streams, etc
- Have exceptional relationship-building ability across personality and identity differences and be effective in communicating with warmth and empathy
- Have time management, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to navigate multiple, new technology platforms
- Balance result-driven work with a personable approach
- Be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment
- Must be able to commit to the position for the full school year with summer employment included (August 2026 through August 2027)

• Perform on-site data collection for Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), Property Condition Assessments (PCA/PCNA), and Asset Tagging / Inventory assignments across diverse property types • Conduct on-site facility and building condition assessments for multifamily, senior, educational, commercial, industrial, municipal, and federal/military properties. • Collect data on building systems, finishes, and site components using company software (FastField, iAuditor, AkitaBox, or Quire) • Perform asset tagging & inventory, labeling MEP equipment with barcodes/QRs and reconciling to client databases • Capture clear, well-labeled digital photographs of systems and deficiencies • Record accurate quantities, serial numbers, dimensions, ages, and condition ratings • Support senior assessors and project managers with RSMeans-based cost estimating and capital-planning data (5-, 10-, and 20-year horizons) • Assist with report assembly and technical writing as assigned • Adhere to all site safety requirements and maintain professional communication with property contacts

• Conduct investigations for assigned claims • Inspect or remotely manage inspections of property, structures, vehicles, equipment, or accident scenes as required by assignment • Document damages, conditions, causation indicators, and other relevant findings through notes, measurements, photographs, and diagrams • Evaluate loss facts and support investigation of coverage, liability, damages, and exposure • Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, or other involved parties when needed • Prepare timely, accurate, and well-documented reports for clients and internal stakeholders • Coordinate with examiners, managers, carriers, policyholders, vendors, attorneys, and other claim participants as needed • Maintain complete file documentation in accordance with company standards, client instructions, and regulatory expectations • Escalate complex issues, large-loss exposures, litigation indicators, or specialty claim concerns appropriately • Manage field assignments within service expectations, turnaround times, and quality standards • Travel throughout the assigned coverage territory as required
