Job Description
Associate Technical Designer

• Support the execution and tracking of garment fit, construction, and pattern accuracy from concept through production • Analyze and track the fit process throughout the development cycle to ensure on-time approvals and production readiness • Prepare for and participate in fittings: set fit schedules, measure samples, document fit notes, and track follow-ups • Analyze fit issues and propose pattern or construction corrections in partnership with senior technical leadership • Create and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including technical flats (2D), construction details, BOMs, and measurement specifications • Update and maintain specifications and grading based on style needs, fit feedback, or vendor requests • Support wear testing by requesting, prepping, and tracking samples; compile and analyze feedback for cross-functional teams • Partner closely with manufacturers and vendors to troubleshoot fit and construction issues and ensure adherence to brand standards • Provide clear, actionable fit comments to domestic and overseas factories • Collaborate with Design to maintain design intent while supporting production efficiency and cost considerations • Conduct competitive market fit analysis to benchmark silhouettes, measurements, and construction • Research and identify emerging fit trends to support continuous improvement of brand fit standards • Review and analyze return rate data related to fit, identifying root causes and recurring issues • Assist in creating fit performance reports and support corrective action plans to improve fit quality and customer satisfaction • Manage end-to-end sample tracking, including proto, fit, PP, and TOP samples • Update WIP reports and support the Technical Design Manager as priorities shift • Assist with final inspections to ensure alignment with approved gold samples
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related technical field
- Experience in a technical design role preferred; background in knits, active, lounge, or sleepwear a plus
- 8+ years of experience, with a majority of experience in the apparel space
- Remote or hybrid work experience preferred
- Strong understanding of fabric properties (stretch, shrinkage, drape)
- Foundational knowledge of pattern making and garment construction
- Software Proficiency Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator for technical flats)
- Microsoft Excel for data tracking and specifications
- Outlook, Google Drive
- Slack, Whatsapp, Wechat
- PLM experience preferred, but not required
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and pivot in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a positive, proactive attitude
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player
- Travel experience a plus, not required. This job will require some domestic travel.

• Creation of digital corporate graphic artworks and vectorization for print; • Creation of digital social graphics for holidays and events; • Development of mockups as required; • Creation and layout of e-books; • Design of corporate commercial presentation layouts as needed; • Video editing (a plus: experience with video production and AI-assisted content creation).
• Perform field design and planning for overhead and underground electric distribution projects (4 kV–35 kV). • Review and transfer field design notes into project drawings and material lists. • Create plan and profile design drawings using AutoCAD and GIS platforms. • Apply design standards and specifications for utility projects. • Compile complete design packages for construction, including data entry into systems such as NISC, NIS, Partner, Futura, AeGIS. • Conduct quality reviews of project deliverables. • Travel to project sites for line design and construction staking (Boerne-based position).
