Principal Product Designer

• Proactively influence the product vision through a strong, user-centred design approach aligned to business goals • Co-create and deliver a design roadmap aligned to product priorities and customer value • Simplify complex, data rich product requirements into clear user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs • Take full ownership of design outcomes including definition of success metrics and post launch impact • Actively contribute to the evolution of AI-powered features and user experiences • Contribute to and evolve the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across the platform • Lead end-to-end design from problem identification to delivery, ensuring quality and usability that improve engagement and adoption • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to deliver seamless user experiences • Design and ship intuitive interfaces for complex, data-driven features and AI-powered modules • Continuously experiment with new AI capabilities to improve speed and quality • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using modern design tools • Measure and meaningfully improve key product analytics through rapid design iteration and experimentation • Support Product and Commercial teams with design assets for launches and feature releases • Act as a principal design leader within the team, setting standards for quality, consistency, and best practice • Mentor and support a more junior designer, providing regular feedback, guidance, and UX / UI development support • Foster a culture of continuous learning, design excellence, and user-centric thinking • Support onboarding and development of new design team members as the team scales • Communicate design concepts, rationale, and decisions clearly to stakeholders • Advocate for the user at every stage of the product lifecycle • Stay close to customers through participation in interviews, testing, product advisory groups and collaboration with customer-facing teams • Monitor post-launch performance and user behaviour to inform continuous improvement • Represent design within the business and contribute to a strong design culture

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience designing UX/UI for SaaS platforms, ideally within Life Sciences or Healthcare and / or complex SaaS products
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end design of a full SaaS platform, redesigning SaaS platform and AI-powered featured
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design, problem-solving, and visual design excellence
  • Experience designing for complex, data-driven applications and analytics platforms
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (or similar) and AI tools, including prototyping and design systems
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability best practices
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders
  • Self-starter able to work independently and improve design processes
