Role Description As a Director, Engineering at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in leading teams responsible for building and evolving the backend systems that power our advertising platform. You will work with large-scale distributed systems, real-time data processing, user identity, integrations, and activation services that are critical to StackAdapt's success. We are looking for a Director, Engineering to lead teams responsible for building and scaling backend services across user data, integrations, and activation domains. The ideal candidate will excel as a leader of leaders, overseeing multiple engineering teams while driving technical strategy, organizational growth, and operational excellence. What You'll Do - Leadership & Strategy - Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a large backend engineering organization, aligning engineering investments with business and product goals. - Lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Drive technical decision-making and establish standards for architecture, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. - Help develop future engineering leaders and support organizational growth as the company continues to scale. - Backend & Technical Excellence - Oversee the design and evolution of backend systems supporting user identity, integrations, activation, and data processing capabilities. - Ensure systems support high-scale, low-latency, and highly available workloads. - Partner with Infrastructure, SRE, Product, and Data teams to improve reliability, observability, and operational efficiency. - Champion best practices in software development, distributed systems design, and engineering excellence. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Product, Revenue, Finance, Data Science, and Engineering teams to align technical priorities with business objectives. - Build strong partnerships across the organization and represent engineering in strategic initiatives. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Execution & Delivery - Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. - Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term system health and scalability. - Use metrics to evaluate reliability, team effectiveness, and delivery outcomes. Qualifications - 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 8+ years in engineering leadership roles. - Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams through managers in a high-scale SaaS, infrastructure, or data-intensive environment. - Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and large-scale backend services. - Track record of developing engineering leaders and building high-performing teams. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Experience in AdTech, MarTech, identity platforms, data platforms, or real-time systems is a strong asset but not required. • Lead and execute FS-ISAC’s multi-year strategic plans for Canada in alignment with the overall global business objectives. • Identify opportunities to expand market presence, strengthen member engagement, and enhance strategic partnerships across the region. • Serve as the senior regional representative for FS-ISAC in Canada with members, partners, and other key stakeholders. • Provide market intelligence and regional insights to support organizational planning and decision-making. • Represent FS-ISAC at industry conferences, member meetings, executive forums, and sector events. • Ensure a consistent and powerful brand presence across Canada. • Drive membership acquisition, retention, and engagement across Canadian financial institutions and related sectors. • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with member organizations, prospective members, and other key stakeholders. • Build trusted relationships with regulators, government agencies, law enforcement, and industry associations within Canada. • Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment and execution of organizational initiatives.

• Conceptual and technical consulting on Capital Markets, Trading, Treasury, Regulatory & Compliance, and other relevant capital markets issues • Management and overall responsibility for demanding projects, including in areas such as Blockchain, Digital Assets, Sustainable Finance, and ESG • Building, leading and further developing consultant and project teams • Responsibility for business development activities: identifying new market opportunities, winning consulting mandates, and expanding existing client relationships • Further development of the service portfolio and active contribution to the strategic direction of the consulting division • Representing the company at industry conferences, sector events, and in expert forums

• Serving as Managing Director, PHS Helplines leading HRiA’s PHS cluster • Establishing and operationalizing the overall vision and direction for the PHS cluster • Setting and advancing strategic goals to grow and sustain the cluster’s portfolio • Developing and managing the cluster budget • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting senior leaders on the team • Monitoring and implementing project workplans, meeting project milestones, and delivering high-quality products and services on time and within budget
