National Director of Sales

• Lead and oversee the performance of Event Sales Managers across a region • Provide daily regional venue support by mentoring, coaching, and motivating venue event sales teams to exceed monthly and annual sales budgets • Implement and oversee sales strategy plans for each venue • Develop and support sales teams in all areas of prospecting and outreach • Manage CRM within the region, producing and monitoring reports that track trends and KPIs • Hire and onboard new hires and conduct ongoing training for sales teams • Ensure consistency of national sales standards across the region • Research and monitor market trends, new business opportunities, and competitors’ offerings • Establish national corporate relationships and execute multi-site bookings • Prepare detailed reports for the VP of Sales • Maintain consistent communication with the VP of Sales, Regional Operations team, and General Managers • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and counterparts to develop national event marketing campaigns
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of event sales and leadership experience as a Regional or National Sales Director in a high-volume ($12M+ annual event revenue) multi-unit environment.
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more individuals as direct reports.
- Ability to travel, work remotely, and within a venue as needed.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Deep knowledge of prospecting and outbound sales strategies, as well as relationship and strategic selling.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and forecasting skills.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a creative approach.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and OneDrive.
- Experience with Tripleseat or other catering software is a plus.
