Case Cover Property Lawyer / Case Cover Conveyancer

Eden Conveyancing

• Take temporary ownership of mixed residential caseloads from instruction to file closure when the primary property lawyer is absent. • Progress files efficiently, ensuring deadlines, exchanges and completions stay on track. • Accurately update tasks and activities without our case management system. • Build strong working relationships with the property lawyers you're supporting. • Provide clear notes, updates, and recommendations for smooth handovers on return. • Provide proactive communication to keep customers, partners and other conveyancers updated on case progress. • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal and internal policies across all conveyancing transactions. • Resolve complex legal issues related to the sale or purchase of a property. • Deliver KPIs that support exceptional client experiences. • Promote a culture of shared responsibility and accountability, recognising that effective case cover is essential to team wellbeing and service quality. • Where there is no active absence cover required, effectively support wider business needs, which may include: - Assisting teams experiencing capacity pressure - Progressing ageing cases or backlog work - Supporting completions, exchanges, or critical deadlines - Contributing to quality assurance, file reviews, or process improvements (where appropriate) • Contribute to continuous improvement by providing constructive feedback on cover processes, handovers, and workflows in a solutions-focused manner.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in residential conveyancing with minimal day-to-day supervision or you have 2+ years post qualified experience
  • Recent CPD including AML training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong affinity for digital tools and modern ways of working
  • Experience and competency in sale, purchase, remortgage and transfers of equity work
  • Experience of freehold, leasehold and new build property transactions
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise a work load at short notice
  • A flexible, adaptable approach
  • Ambition to develop your conveyancing experience and skills
  • Ability to work within a team
