• Traveling to prospective and existing customer offices, engaging in face-to-face meetings to establish trust and foster long-lasting partnerships. • Utilizing a variety of channels, including phone, email, and social media, prospecting for new relationships and provide exceptional service to existing clients. • Understanding and articulating complex finance and lease structures is essential to your success; providing tailored financial solutions to meet clients' unique needs. • Generating new business at assigned volume and yield levels including identifying potential opportunities, presenting compelling value propositions, and closing deals to meet and exceeding sales targets. • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and prospects; leveraging interpersonal skills and industry expertise to nurture these relationships and helping to build loyalty and drive business growth.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or similar degree path is preferred.
  • A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of industry-related skill, knowledge, or experience in the finance industry, preferably in structured equipment finance.
  • A proven track record of success is highly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of sales, credit, marketing, business, and management principles is essential to excel in this role.
  • Exceptional written, telephone, and personal presentation skills are necessary to effectively engage and communicate with diverse audiences.

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Broker Assistant / Mortgage Sales Coordinator to join a growing Australian mortgage brokerage. This is not a traditional administrative support role. We are looking for a confident, proactive professional who can effectively engage with clients, manage loan pipelines, and help drive mortgage applications through to submission. - Proactively contact prospective and existing clients to obtain outstanding loan documentation. - Follow up with borrowers via phone, email, and SMS to ensure applications continue progressing. - Build relationships with clients and guide them through the mortgage application process. - Confidently communicate with self-employed borrowers and clients with complex lending scenarios. - Monitor and manage active loan pipelines to identify and resolve bottlenecks. - Maintain regular communication with clients regarding application status and outstanding requirements. - Prepare and send professional, concise, and accurate client correspondence. - Update and maintain client records within Broker Engine and other brokerage systems. - Support brokers by ensuring files are complete and ready for submission. - Coordinate with lenders, brokers, and the credit team throughout the loan process. Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience working within an Australian mortgage brokerage preferably in a sales focused environment. - Strong experience using Broker Engine. - Proven experience in broker support, sales, mortgage processing, loan coordination, or client relationship management. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. - Strong phone presence with the ability to build rapport and influence outcomes. - Experience following up clients for documentation and progressing mortgage applications. - Ability to manage multiple active files and competing priorities. - High attention to detail while maintaining a strong customer service focus. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Must be able to write coherent and succinct emails to the clients in English. Requirements - This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9:00AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. - The candidate must work exclusively with the client’s business from their hire date and must not have any other ongoing employment, client work, freelance engagements, or side hustles.
