Role Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager of SEO & GEO to lead the next evolution of organic discovery at Parallels. This role will own our strategy across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms. - Ensure Parallels continues to win in search today while building a leadership position in the AI-driven discovery channels of tomorrow. - Strengthen our technical SEO foundation, scale our content and authority strategy, and lead the company approach to improving how Parallels is surfaced, summarized, cited, compared, and recommended by AI-powered platforms. - Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Communications, and Channel teams to make Parallels more discoverable across the full customer journey. - Comfort with remote work and asynchronous collaboration is critical. - Understanding the virtualization space, developer ecosystem, Apple ecosystem, enterprise productivity landscape, and partner routes-to-market will be a strong advantage. Qualifications - 6+ years leading SEO, organic growth, search strategy, or discoverability programs. - Deep technical SEO expertise with a proven record of improving organic growth at scale. - Strong understanding of content strategy, authority building, information architecture, and search intent. - Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience with AI-driven discovery, GEO, LLM-powered search, or emerging search experiences. - Ability to define a new discipline while continuing to operate and improve a mature SEO function. - Experience influencing Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Content, Analytics, Communications, and executive stakeholders. - Strong analytical skills and comfort building reporting frameworks where measurement is imperfect. - Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Hands-on familiarity with enterprise SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Looker/Tableau, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Botify, Conductor, BrightEdge, Similarweb, or comparable platforms. - Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives across teams and time zones. Requirements - Lead the Integrated SEO & GEO Strategy. - Own Parallels global organic discovery strategy across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms. - Set the roadmap for SEO and GEO initiatives tied to measurable business outcomes. - Balance near-term SEO performance with long-term GEO leadership. - Establish Parallels operating model for how SEO, GEO, Product Marketing, Content, Engineering, PR, Channel, and Analytics work together. - Lead prioritization, planning, reporting, and executive communication for SEO and GEO initiatives. - Define and operationalize Parallels Generative Engine Optimization strategy. - Improve how Parallels products are surfaced, summarized, cited, compared, and recommended in AI-powered discovery experiences. - Monitor Parallels presence across various AI platforms. - Build strategies around entity authority, semantic relevance, structured knowledge, citation visibility, AI retrievability, and recommendation share-of-voice. - Partner with Product Marketing and Communications to increase high-quality third-party mentions, citations, and category authority. - Develop practical measurement frameworks for GEO. - Identify how AI-driven discovery is changing customer journeys, competitive positioning, and purchase consideration. - Lead technical SEO across various aspects. - Drive content SEO strategy across priority audiences. - Ensure Parallels continues to perform strongly in traditional search. - Diagnose and resolve SEO performance issues across large-scale web properties. - Partner with Product Marketing to translate product capabilities into discoverable narratives. - Build topic authority across various domains. - Create content and information architecture that serves both human buyers and AI retrieval systems. - Support digital PR and partner/channel content strategies. - Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research and content optimization. - Help simplify complex technical messages into clear, compelling stories. - Define clear KPIs for both SEO and GEO. - Build test-and-learn frameworks for GEO experiments. - Translate complex changes in search and AI discovery into clear business implications for executives. - Manage SEO/GEO tools, vendors, agencies, and reporting systems as needed.
