Role Description Primarily responsible for verification of documents of residential mortgage applications from new loan inception to instructions to lawyers and notaries. In addition to preparing and processing all mortgage-related transactions and documents, this position requires a high degree of efficiency and organization. - Review documents submitted by the Mortgage Specialist to ensure the file is in good order and all conditions have been met. - Set up and administer new mortgage business and process the related financial transactions. - Address routine queries from internal partners. - Apply strong decision making and problem-solving skills to resolve situations, influence decisions and maintain strong accountability with respect to workload and responsiveness so that expectations and standards are met or surpassed within a timely manner. - Contribute to and support the team in meeting urgent deadlines and unexpected increased volumes. - Promptly respond and resolve inquiries. - Create and maintain strong team collaborative working relationships with internal departments by providing excellent customer service. - Identify continuous improvement opportunities and share ideas for improvements and efficiencies and assist with implementation. - Ensure escalated complaint investigations consider customer experience. - Follow Bank policies and standards for required information, supporting documentation and processes to discharge a mortgage. Qualifications - Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec. - General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices an asset. - Sound knowledge of MS Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Outlook. - Previous Banking experience is an asset. - Excellent customer service skills. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Proven organization and time management skills.
