Role Description We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to originate and advance energy solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. This role is focused on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and shaping go-to-market strategies that deliver cost effective, sustainable, and decarbonized energy solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong industry connections, a proactive approach to opportunity development, and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable project pathways. - Identify, originate, and develop energy opportunities and solutions for C&I customers, focusing on customized solutions including sustainability and decarbonization. - Build and execute go-to-market strategies within the company’s health care business initially, contributing expertise to refine offerings and market positioning; subsequently leverage that positioning to other industries. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. - Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to generate leads and expand market presence. - Collaborate with internal teams (development, engineering, finance, legal) and external stakeholders. - Qualify leads and manage opportunities through the pipeline using CRM systems and structured processes. - Support corporate development and project execution teams by ensuring a seamless transition from origination to project development. - Understand customer energy needs and challenges, developing solutions that align with economic and sustainability goals. - Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities across several business sectors. Qualifications - Minimum 5+ years of experience in originating and developing opportunities within the health care or energy industry. - Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers. - Experience contributing to or leading go-to-market strategy development and execution. - Familiarity with CRM platforms and disciplined pipeline management practices. - Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements - Established relationships in the health care sector or other C&I industries. - Experience with decarbonization solutions, such as renewable energy, distributed energy resources, or energy efficiency programs. - Understanding of commercial structures related to energy services.
