Director of Special Projects

• Own a rotating portfolio of the company’s highest-visibility projects across strategy, operations, finance, and growth • Drive strategic initiatives – Lead end-to-end execution of CEO and leadership priorities, from framing and analysis through implementation and accountability • Act as a force multiplier – Step into high-need gaps with no clear owner and bring structure, momentum, and clarity • Prepare executive-level materials – Build strategic memos and internal communications that are clear, concise, and compelling • Structure complex problems – Apply rigorous analytical frameworks to ambiguous business questions, combining data and qualitative insight into actionable recommendations • Lead cross-functional programs – Coordinate work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Legal on initiatives that don’t sit neatly within one team

Job Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience, including 2–4 years at a top-tier management consulting firm (Bain, McKinsey, BCG, or equivalent)
  • Experience transitioning from consulting into an operating role and applying structured thinking in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments
  • Exceptional communication – both written and verbal – with the ability to turn complexity into clarity
  • Strong analytical horsepower – comfortable building market analyses and strategic frameworks from scratch
  • Execution-oriented – you follow through, manage timelines, and deliver without heavy oversight
  • High ownership, low ego – comfortable doing both the thinking and the doing
  • Experience influencing or managing cross-functional teams without formal authority
