Role Description MPF has an immediate need for a full-time, Senior Technical Information Specialist (STIS) for one of our Federal Government contracts in Silver Spring, MD. The position is remote during normal core business hours (7:30 am – 5:30 pm), Monday through Friday. Compensation: $26.89 - Conducts research, review, and QC activities to ensure foreign facilities’ status and detailed information are current and correct in FDA database systems per the SOPs, AQLs, and SLAs. - Determines which FDA systems and internet sites are required to identify necessary data during research. - Analyzes information identified during research and reviews it to determine next steps based on conditions and requirements in SOPs, AQLs, and SLAs. - Proficient in researching and updating foreign addresses and phone numbers to ensure correctness. - Reviews, researches, recommends, documents, and merges foreign facilities with potentially more than one assigned Facility Establishment Identifier (FEI). - Communicates with firms via phone, email, fax, and UPS to verify and obtain needed information. - Responds to questions and requests from firms to provide guidance based on conditions, requirements, and rules outlined in SOPs, AQLs, and SLAs. - GEO codes firm’s physical location as needed and identifies firm location in areas restricted for travel by U.S. Government personnel. - Performs peer-review QC on data entry. - Must have proficiency with computer use, including a working knowledge of the standard Microsoft suite of products. - Highly self-motivated, organized, skilled at time management, and extremely detail-oriented. - Completes assignments adhering to all FDA/Federal rules, regulations, policies, guidance documents, and procedures. - Ensures compliance with FDA records management requirements. - Must have experience interfacing with the customer. Qualifications - Minimum of Bachelor’s degree - 3 years of related experience in records/document management - Must be eligible to work in the US and ability to obtain a clearance. - Good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. - Detail-oriented with strong ability to perform quality checks on work being performed. - Effective communication skills (verbal and written); proficiency in communicating via phone and email, gathering required information, documenting and tracking information in FDA systems and various Excel spreadsheets. - Ready to learn and participate in the team effort. - Strong computer skills to perform research using FDA databases, internet sites, data entry, and related tasks.
