Role Description The Print & Digital Sales, Marketing & Events Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth through integrated print and digital advertising sales, strategic marketing initiatives, sponsorship development, and experiential events. This individual will oversee the STNDRDS’ sales and marketing efforts while aligning advertising, audience growth, brand strategy, and events to maximize visibility, engagement, and business performance. The ideal candidate is a strategic, relationship-driven leader with strong sales abilities, marketing expertise, and experience executing high-impact events and integrated media campaigns. This role requires both big-picture vision and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the luxury, lifestyle, media, and publishing industries, along with an established network of industry relationships and an active book of business capable of generating advertising, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities. Qualifications - 5–7+ years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, sponsorship development, media sales, publishing, event management, or related leadership roles. - Proven success selling print and digital advertising, sponsorships, or integrated media campaigns. - Strong understanding of the luxury, lifestyle, hospitality, entertainment, publishing, and media industries. - Existing book of business and established industry relationships strongly preferred. - Strong understanding of SEO, paid media, CRM systems, analytics platforms, and marketing automation tools. - Experience planning and executing successful events and experiential marketing initiatives. - Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. Requirements - Lead sales efforts for both print and digital advertising opportunities across magazines, websites, newsletters, social media, sponsored content, and special publications. - Develop integrated advertising and sponsorship packages that combine print, digital, social, and event exposure. - Identify, pursue, and secure new advertising partnerships and sponsorship revenue streams. - Leverage an existing network and book of business to drive immediate revenue opportunities and long-term partnerships. - Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, agencies, luxury brands, hospitality groups, regional businesses, and strategic partners. - Manage the full advertising sales cycle including prospecting, presentations, proposal development, negotiations, contracts, and account management. - Collaborate with editorial, creative, and production teams to ensure advertising integrations align with brand standards and audience expectations. - Develop long-term client relationships that support recurring advertising and sponsorship revenue. - Maintain sales pipelines, revenue forecasts, and client reporting. - Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies designed to increase audience growth, lead generation, brand awareness, and revenue. - Oversee marketing initiatives across SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, paid advertising, and content distribution channels. - Optimize customer acquisition and conversion strategies across digital platforms. - Ensure consistent brand identity, messaging, and user experience across print, digital, and event platforms. - Partner with editorial and creative teams to develop campaigns, promotions, and audience engagement initiatives. - Oversee website marketing performance, newsletters, blogs, and promotional materials. - Monitor and analyze campaign performance, audience engagement, lead generation, advertising ROI, and revenue metrics. - Use data-driven insights to improve marketing efficiency, audience growth, and sales performance. - Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. - Conceptualize and oversee digital and in-person events including networking receptions, conferences, webinars, launches, trade shows, and experiential activations. - Develop event strategies that support lead generation, sponsorship growth, audience engagement, and brand positioning. - Identify and secure event sponsorship opportunities. - Partner with sales teams to align event participation with business development and client acquisition goals. - Design post-event lead follow-up strategies to maximize conversions and ROI. - Oversee event budgets, vendor relationships, venue coordination, staffing, timelines, and on-site execution. - Track event performance metrics, attendance, sponsorship value, and overall ROI. - Recruit, mentor, and manage marketing, sales, and event support staff. - Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture focused on growth and innovation. - Work closely with leadership, editorial, creative, sales, and operations teams to support cohesive brand and revenue strategies. - Contribute to long-term growth planning and strategic business initiatives. - Drive adoption of CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, AI-powered tools, and analytics technologies to improve efficiency and performance. - Stay informed on industry trends, audience behaviors, and emerging media opportunities. Benefits - Salary: $55-60K base - Commission: 20% commission - Bonus: Quarterly bonus structure: $1,250 for 100% of goal; $3,000 for 125% of goal; $5,000 for 150% of goal.
