Job Description

Architectural Designer

Sevan Multi-Site Solutions

• Prepares complete, accurate and code compliant construction documents. • Provides technical and creative design solutions that align with program intent. • Responsible for determining the appropriate building components and their design application. • Responsible for meeting project schedules, deadlines, and commitments for all projects. • Assists the project manager in coordinating work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives. • Notifies supervisor of changes in project scope and advises if a change order proposal is needed. • Possesses a working knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements. • Conducts project due diligence with municipalities to determine local zoning and building code requirements. • Accountable for resolving plan review comments from code officials. • Project liaison to code officials, outside consultants, suppliers, and contractors regarding questions to the construction documents. • Reviews / evaluates others work and provides productive feedback and technical direction. • Works with supervisor and peers to pursue professional development. • Participates in the development of more junior members of the team. • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision on large-scope projects with many complexities. • May represent the company at client project meetings. • Visits project sites to verify scope, exiting conditions and other related activities. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Licensed Architect or pursuing license, or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and advanced techniques.
  • Expertise in drawings, specifications, and building materials.
  • Capable of completing complicated and difficult architectural assignments and large, complex projects with minimal supervision within a fast-pace environment.
  • Ability to execute and coordinate multiple projects at a time.
  • Proficient in REVIT (required), AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Photoshop, SketchUp, Smartsheet, 3Ds Max is a plus.
  • Architectural License or pursuing, highly preferred.
  • This role requires full professional fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
