Title: Clinical Documentation Integrity Coordinator Facility: Remote (Must Reside in the State of Florida) Responsibilities: - Seasoned CDI professional, proficient in the delivery of the Clinical Documentation processes, with a strong understanding of DRG documentation requirements and coding guidelines, and demonstrating effective leadership skills. - Responsible for designing, conducting, and facilitating educational efforts and trainings related to clinical documentation, as well as sharing ongoing coding guidelines, rules and regulations updates. - Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and conducting orientation of new CDI team members and Physician Advisors. - Assisting with the assessment, development, and growth of CDI specialists, and acting as a mentor and role model in the profession. - Perform secondary chart reviews and audits for quality assessment of the work provided by the CDI Specialists, and partners with the CDI Supervisors and Manager to create tailored individual education plans. - Assist with the day-to-day coordination of the CDI program including monitoring/balancing/assigning workload, running and reviewing CDI reports to ensure proper reconciliation and management of records through the software application, and performing other duties as assigned. - Must have knowledge of coding guidelines, rules, and regulations - Requires travel between assigned facilities and strong organizational and self-governance skills. The lab engages in quantitative epidemiologic studies ranging from survey studies to large population-based database studies as well as qualitative and mixed methods research to better understand the drivers of health disparities. The lab's work is funded by federal, industry, and foundation sponsors. Current projects include ADDS-UP3, a community-based cohort study aimed at identifying the social and environmental factors contributing to racial and ethnic disparities in atopic dermatitis severity; P2P-PsO, a study evaluating the effectiveness of peer mentorship in increasing participant diversity in psoriasis research; VTEACH-PsO, a project assessing whether an educational video can increase research participation among adults with psoriasis; among other health disparities related studies. The primary responsibility of the Community Canvasser (CRC A) position in the Takeshita Lab is to implement community-based approaches to engaging the North, West, South, and Southwest Philadelphia communities in research to understand the causes of racial and ethnic disparities in eczema (atopic dermatitis) outcomes.
