Job Description
Product Designer
Elevate
Role Description Elevate is building a suite of software products across commerce, data, and client experience workflows. These products are growing quickly, and the next stage requires stronger ownership of the user experience, design system, and handoff between product, design, and engineering. As Product Designer for Product Engineering, you will own practical, shippable UX/UI work across the product ecosystem. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, internal users, and business stakeholders to design workflows that are clear, consistent, and feasible to build. You will help keep the design system coherent, and make sure the product experience does not become fragmented as the platform grows. This role is ideal for a pragmatic designer who likes working close to engineering. We do not need design theater. We need someone who can understand the user, simplify the workflow, make smart trade-offs, and help the team ship quality products. Qualifications - 2+ years of product design, UX/UI design, interaction design, or related digital product experience. - Strong Figma skills, including components, variants, design systems, prototypes, and developer handoff. - Experience designing web applications, dashboards, data-heavy workflows, internal tools, or SaaS products. - Ability to run lightweight discovery with users and stakeholders to understand real workflow problems. - Ability to translate ambiguous feedback into clear designs, user flows, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready details. - Strong collaboration instincts with frontend and full-stack engineers. - A pragmatic sense of scope: you know when a design needs to be excellent, when it needs to be simple, and when a follow-up ticket is the right move. - Comfort reviewing work in staging or production and giving clear design QA feedback. - Clear communication and ownership in a remote environment. Requirements - Front-end familiarity with HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, Storybook, or component-driven development. - Experience maintaining or evolving a design system across multiple products. - Experience with data visualization, query builders, reporting tools, e-commerce flows, or enterprise workflow products. - Experience in sports, entertainment, ticketing, sponsorship, hospitality, or consumer analytics. - Comfort using AI tools for rapid prototyping, research synthesis, or design exploration. Benefits - This position is fully remote. - Full Time – Exempt. - Anticipated Base Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 (this position is bonus eligible). - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance + FSA, HSA, and more. - 401k Employer Match after meeting eligibility requirements. - 14 Paid Holidays. - Unlimited PTO. - Paid Parental Leave. Your Journey: First 90 Days - First 30 Days: - Learn the product ecosystem and current design system. - Meet product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and key internal users. - Audit the current product surfaces for design inconsistency, unclear workflows, and high-friction areas. - Understand how Figma, Jira, and engineering handoff currently work. - Days 31-60: - Own design for one priority workflow from discovery through implementation handoff. - Clean up or clarify a high-value area of the design system. - Establish a lightweight design QA process with product and engineering. - Partner with engineers to reduce rework caused by unclear scope or late design changes. - Days 61-90: - Deliver visible UX improvements in at least one priority product area. - Establish a repeatable design-to-engineering workflow that makes Figma, Jira, and acceptance criteria line up. - Help leadership understand where design investment will create the most product and business value. - Become a trusted partner for pragmatic product design across the engineering organization.

PencilPencil uses AI to make ads. Our mission is to make marketing effective and effortless. We want to become the default way ads get made — because AI ads are 10x faster and cheaper to make, and 2x better performing, than making them without AI. Pencil was founded in 2018 with a team from Google, Facebook and Uber with backing from Sequoia and Entrepreneur First. We were acquired by The Brandtech Group in 2023 to pursue a shared vision of bringing GenAI to the Fortune 500.
Role Description We’re hiring for a Product Designer to take full ownership of a core area of our platform—the Agent Marketplace. You’ll lead design from strategy to execution, working closely with Product and Engineering to shape features that help users create better ads with AI by leveraging specialized agents for real client use cases and third-party integrations. This role is ideal for someone who wants real responsibility, values clarity and speed, and thrives in an environment where each Designer drives their own part of the product. You won’t just push pixels; you’ll help define what we build and why, with a primary focus on delivering direct, immediate value to our clients. - Own a core area of the Pencil platform end-to-end, from problem framing and concept exploration to final UI and shipped product. - Partner closely with Product and Engineering to define and rapidly ship agents that solve real problems and maximize time-to-value for clients immediately upon delivery. - Leverage integrations as a multiplier to unlock higher value through external tools and data, positioning the Agent Marketplace at the intersection of Pencil and external ecosystems. - Design high-quality, production-ready interfaces for AI-driven workflows, expertly simplifying complexity to make experiences intuitive and predictable. - Focus on agents that drive high adoption and reuse, prioritizing value over sheer volume. - Ensure design intent is fully translated into development by working closely with engineers during implementation, reviewing builds, and iterating until the quality bar is met. - Conduct user research by staying close to clients and commercial teams to ground decisions in real business problems, and continuously raise usability and clarity across the product. - Use and contribute to our design system, helping to standardize just enough to maintain consistency without slowing down the speed of iteration. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally within SaaS or complex, workflow-driven tools. - A strong portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product thinking, with a focus on translating messy client needs into clear, actionable agent concepts and shipped outcomes. - Strong problem solver and fast thinker and doer who can move from idea to prototype quickly without over-relying on perfect inputs. - Deep craft sensibility and a high bar for quality, with clear examples of attention to detail in UI, interaction, and system thinking. - Proven ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, comfortable with shifting priorities driven by real client demands. - Systems-aware designer who understands integrations and how different tools connect into a seamless experience. - Strong experience working closely with engineers, with a clear understanding of how design translates into real production UI. - Highly proficient in Figma, using it fluently to explore ideas, communicate intent, and evolve design systems. - AI curiosity and comfort designing for AI-powered or data-driven systems, motivated to explore how AI can unlock new workflows and capabilities. Benefits - 25 days PTO plus public holidays, although we operate a Flexible Time Off scheme. - Health insurance / private medical cover. - Monthly stipend towards wellness, fitness, and learning and development. - Remote - work from anywhere in your home country. - Enhanced parental leave policies, whether you become a parent through birth, adoption or surrogacy. - Access to our Pencil office in The Shard, London for UK employees. - Flexible working hours.
