Role Description To support their line manager in the delivery of the existing FM contracts. This will be achieved via the practical implementation of the company’s management system and the utilisation of the Electricians knowledge. Duties & Responsibilities: - Ensure the safe, satisfactory performance and further development of all contracts and accounts for which he is responsible. - Take an active role in the management of all quality, environmental and health & safety issues on the site in compliance with company policies. - Ensure compliance with contractual requirements. - Ensure Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance are carried out to the correct specification regarding both frequency and quality. - Organise and manage the mechanical and electrical maintenance schedule in compliance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system. - Organise and manage external maintenance contractors to ensure schedules are carried out in accordance with current legislation. - Ensure client satisfaction and the quality of service provided. - Identify and implement innovations to improve service delivery. - Ensure continuity of systems in compliance with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards. - Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available as required for effective service delivery. - Assist with Sub-Contractor management and monitoring. - Ensure compliance with the expectations and needs of the Client and the quality and organisational goals of the company. - Participate in the provision of a 24 hour per day, 365 days per year emergency on-call service as required. - Be prepared to work overtime where required to support the contract. - Take ownership of and deal with all facilities related on the FES contracted sites. - Assist Supervisor with project planning. - Support holders of other posts according to changes in workload and patterns of working. - Periodic review of the main areas of the job with detailed objectives set periodically in conjunction with your Line Manager. Qualifications - Formal technical education in Mechanical/electrical discipline. - A Full driving license. - Understanding of asset management principles and maintenance techniques. - Experience of operating a management system (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, 14001, 18001). - A strong working knowledge of Health & Safety principles including Risk Assessment, COSHH, etc. - A pro-active attitude. - Excellent planning skills. - Good IT/computer skills. - Excellent communication skills including verbal and written. - The ability to form relationships with clients and exceed customer expectations. - Approachable demeanour and a commitment to team working. - Consistently works to a high standard and seeks to improve current working practices. - High levels of self-motivation, technical inquisitiveness, enthusiasm, and commitment. - A track record of delivering similar roles. - A commitment to continuing professional development. - A formal H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH managing safety certificate or similar) would be useful. Requirements - A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2. - The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition). - Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification. Desirable Qualifications - An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
