Role Description At Current, Lead Engineers drive the technical direction and delivery of complex digital experiences across multiple client engagements. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams across strategy, design, production, and engineering to build scalable, high-quality digital platforms and applications. Lead Engineers are both strategic and hands-on technical leaders. You’re comfortable architecting solutions, guiding engineering teams, collaborating directly with clients, and jumping into execution when needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while helping shape engineering standards and best practices across the agency. What You’ll Do - Lead the technical architecture, development, and delivery of complex digital projects across multiple client engagements - Partner with strategy, design, production, and engineering teams to define technical approaches and delivery plans - Serve as a technical lead and point of contact for client stakeholders - Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performing web applications and CMS-driven platforms - Develop proof-of-concept solutions and evaluate technical feasibility for integrations and new features - Guide engineering standards, code quality, and architectural best practices across projects - Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers across the team - Assess technical health of active projects and recommend improvements or modernization opportunities - Collaborate on project planning, estimation, technical scoping, and delivery strategy - Contribute to internal tooling, workflows, and engineering culture initiatives - Stay informed on emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve processes and solutions Qualifications - 6–8 years of software or web development experience, ideally within an agency or consulting environment - Strong expertise in JavaScript, PHP, and modern front-end/back-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Node.js - Advanced experience with Drupal and WordPress CMS platforms - Deep understanding of Drupal architecture, APIs, custom module development, and theming - Strong knowledge of the LAMP stack, including PHP and MySQL - Experience building scalable applications, integrations, and API-driven solutions - Experience with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, Acquia, Pantheon, Azure, or Google Cloud - Strong understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices - Ability to lead technical decision-making while remaining hands-on in execution - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Requirements - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized development environments - Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices - Experience working within Agile delivery environments such as Scrum or Kanban - Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring developers across projects - Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning experience - Familiarity with Jira, Workfront, or similar project management tools Benefits - The target range of base compensation for this role is $120,000 - $145,000 annually - Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location

• As a senior member of the Astrodynamics team, you will take a lead role advancing Slingshot’s efforts to accelerate space operations intelligence and automation, ensuring the security, safety, and sustainability of space. • This work involves leading the development of advanced astrodynamics, orbit determination including multi-sensor multi-object multi-phenomenology data fusion, and satellite and constellation mission optimization. • You will also support the development of physics and AI/ML-based algorithms and software for analytics and insights. • You will act as the subject matter expert, provide knowledge and expertise to internal and external stakeholders, lead research and development initiatives, mentor other members of the team and support product demonstrations, business development, bid and proposal process, and outreach activities. • In this role, you will develop and enable delivery of solutions across Slingshot’s core functions: Sense, Fuse, Decide, Act.
Role Description Owls in this role prototype, develop, and release code to bring Owlchemy’s ideas to life. - Implement shaders, graphic systems, and visual tools based on direction from Design and Art teams including task owner. - Assist with porting to new platforms accounting for best practices based on engine and platform requirements. - Create tools to assist production as needed. - Assist with optimization, especially of graphics-related issues, utilizing profiling tools and coding best practices. - Develop and test code, fix bugs, and profile to optimize code as directed. - Follow engineering best practices, development processes, and coding standards. - Take ownership of tasks and authored features, ensuring owned features can be maintained and provide technical and design leadership for owned tasks. - Seek feedback on owned tasks, including via playtests, other Owls and stakeholders. - Evaluate new XR hardware and assist with R&D efforts. - Collaborate with (or act as) Owners to break down large deliverables into more discrete tasking and provide accurate estimates to stakeholders. - Collaborate with Owls cross-departmentally to meet task goals and determine code requirements. - Keep up to date on the latest in development practices for Unity and XR and ensure distribution of that knowledge throughout team. - Mentor other Owls on graphics best practices through one to one discussions, coding explanations, code reviews, and documentation creation, etc. Qualifications - Strong attention to detail. - Strong, clear and proactive communicator across a variety of disciplines and levels. - Deep Unity Programming Expertise (C#, HLSL). - Strong understanding of Unity’s Scriptable Render Pipeline and Universal Render Pipeline and underlying rendering technologies like Vulkan and OpenGL. - Cross programming expertise (C++, Java, Python, etc.). - Deep graphics optimization expertise (Unity Profile, RenderDoc, hardware specifics). - Experience with XR platforms, tile-based renderers, and related technologies strongly preferred. Requirements - High School Diploma or Equivalent. - 7+ years of graphics programming experience. - Good understanding of all other disciplines in game development. Preferred Education and Experience - 10+ years of graphics programming experience. - Appreciation of puns (or at least the ability to groan at them). Physical Requirements - Owls must be able to use virtual reality headsets but are not expected to own one. Salary Range $150,000 - $180,000 USD/year Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, work from home, 40-hours per week position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT. Travel - For Owls working outside of the Austin, TX area, travel to Austin may be required 4 to 6 times per year.
