• Edit and proofread Clubs curriculum materials, including child handbooks, leader guides, teaching resources, Scripture memory materials, and family resources. • Review supporting content such as parent resources, activities, and supplemental ministry tools. • Ensure content is clear, accurate, age-appropriate, and aligned with Awana’s theological standards, voice, and brand guidelines. • Verify Scripture references, doctrinal accuracy, and ministry terminology. • Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and quality across content for children, leaders, and families. • Write and revise curriculum content for children, leaders, and families in partnership with the Clubs curriculum team. • Support the development, updating, and maintenance of curriculum products and ministry resources. • Adapt content for print, digital, and in-club formats. • Improve content clarity, engagement, and usability for diverse age groups and audiences.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Education, Theology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional copyediting or editorial experience; experience in curriculum, publishing, or ministry content strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional command of English grammar, usage, and editorial standards.
  • Experience editing curriculum, educational materials, or content designed for children, leaders, or families.
  • Strong understanding of how to adapt content for multiple audiences (children, leaders, families).
  • Demonstrated ability to review and handle theological content with accuracy and discernment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience working with collaborative editing tools (Google Workspace required).
