Research Operations Manager

GetWhys

• Manage many concurrent research projects: Track status, timelines, and deliverables across all active research requests, ensuring each meets its deadline • Own sourcing operations: Coordinate with expert networks and internal sources to get the right number of qualified participants for each request, using your judgement to determine what that number is based on the scope • Coordinate contractor network: Manage scheduling and availability for our pool of contract interviewers—ensuring interviews are properly scheduled and interviewers are matched to projects • Monitor progress and communicate: Flag potential delays early, working with the CPO and Customer Success Lead to set expectations with customers when timelines are at risk • Keep projects on track: Follow up on in-progress requests to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met

Job Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume, concurrent qualitative research projects
  • Experience coordinating external contractors, vendors, or distributed teams
  • Proactive communicator who knows when to escalate and keeps stakeholders informed without hand-holding
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through—nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
  • At least 2 years of experience in research operations
  • Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a startup environment
