Title: Senior Analyst, Energy Data Validation Location: Baltimore / United States Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually Job Description: Note: Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus or commissions. CPower is a leading Virtual Power Plant platform, monetizing the value of customer-sited energy to intelligently strengthen the grid. For over a decade, we've made turning flexible energy into revenue simple for partners and large energy users such as businesses, manufacturers, public institutions and healthcare organizations, delivering $1.4 billion from demand response and energy flexibility programs to customers since 2015. We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Energy Data Validation who will play an important role in validating various energy data streams. This role presents an opportunity to learn about the emerging distributed renewable energy industry from the 'inside', while working on significant and impactful projects with customers from day one. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, and a problem solver. They should be able to interpret technical energy data and be able to relay that information to a non-technical crowd. They will need to take ownership and demonstrate proficiency regarding the results of validations and offer next steps. A general understanding of electrical energy consumption, billing and metering would be preferred. Based on candidate location, our primary preference is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at our Baltimore, MD location three days per week (Tues/Wed/Thurs). Our secondary preference is remote. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Coordinate with CPower's Data Management team to obtain utility data sets from utilities. - Validate energy data from multiple sources, including utility bills, interval data, and meter data systems. - Use internal and third party tools to compare datasets; perform manual comparisons when required. - Support recurring and annual revalidation of existing metering to maintain ongoing data quality. - Track, analyze, and report metrics related to data validation cases. - Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce future validation exceptions. - Support continuous improvement of data validation processes and workflows. - Support metering audits conducted by governing bodies and regulatory entities, including data review, documentation support, and issue remediation. Requirements - BS or BA in a business-related field is a plus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. - Excellent attention to detail. - Excellent computer Microsoft Excel proficiency; VBA and SQL experience a strong plus. - Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. - Ability to prioritize efficiently while multi-tasking, dealing with interruptions and working in a high paced energetic environment. - Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices. - Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team to accomplish assigned tasks. - Strong mathematical skills and the ability to apply these concepts to practical business situations. - Ancillary skills in modeling software (PowerBI, Python, R) a plus. - Energy-related experience or education is a plus, but not required. - All applicants must be able to provide documentation that they are legally eligible to work in the United States for an extended period, and will not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for employment visa status to work legally for our Company in the United States.
