Title: Branded Content Writer, National Location: Remote USA Job Description: The big picture: Axios is a modern media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring a National Branded Content Writer to join our brand studio team! Why it matters: The Branded Content Writer will work to develop branded content for Axios’ advertising partners. As a member of the Branded Content team, you will work with the Branded Content Editor and with all members of the revenue team to build and maintain thought leadership campaigns for Axios’ brand partners in our trademark Smart Brevity style. Go deeper: In this highly collaborative role, we are looking for someone with strong writing and editing skills to create native branded content that appears on the Axios website, in our newsletters, and at our events. Our ideal candidate is fast, thorough, able to hit daily deadlines, and works well on teams. Worthy of your time: With the guidance of an editor, candidates must be able to craft original sponsored content and, where necessary, conduct research for content topics across a wide range of brands. Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for Axios’ mission, and have the following skills: - Writing experience in a branded or editorial capacity - Passion for thought leadership and storytelling on behalf of brands - Demonstrated ability to research and brainstorm themes and messaging to align with client’s messaging goals, including advocacy, thought leadership and brand marketing campaigns - Skilled at working with dense, technical, or complex subject matter - Demonstrated experience writing on social media platforms - Comfort with live interviews to assist in the creation and production of branded content - Familiarity working on small creative teams to create client-driven materials - Design/infographic skills are a plus Starting salary for this role is in the range of $55,000 - $85,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills.
