Make a Difference As a member of the Unified Network Engineering team, provides management, support and participates in upgrading activities for Cisco network systems and Azure networking. A Sr Unified Network Engineer will take ownership of Enterprise network technologies. Participates in enterprise design and future planning sessions with Network and Unified Communications Architects. Interacts with vendors on support cases. Mentors Engineers and Analysts. This role requires participation in on-call rotation and traveling to various Community Health Network sites. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. · High School Diploma or GED required. · Bachelor's Degree or higher in communications technology or its equivalent preferred. · Five (5) years or more years’ experience in Networking, Unified Communications and related technologies required. · Must obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate within 18 months of hire. · Excellent trouble shooting skills and a commitment to excellence. · Understanding of Microsoft Desktop and Server operating systems. · Firm understanding of networking principles to include functional understanding of TCP/IP, IP sub-netting, VLANs, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, SIP and QoS. · Solid understanding and experience with cisco switching/routing technologies and systems like switches, routers, IOS, VTP, STP, Ether channel, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP. · Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, Cisco Wireless 9800, Cisco ACI, or SolarWinds. · Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure networking like VNETs, SNETs, UDRs, peering, route server, EspressRoute and Cloud Shell, Bicep or Terraform automation tools. · Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Microsoft AZ-700 certificate preferred. · Understanding of virtual server environments. · Natural leadership skills, enjoys helping others sharpen and expand their skill sets. · Ability to handle multiple tasks competently. - This position is a hybrid role, you must reside within a 60-mile radius of 7351 Shadeland Station, Indianapolis, IN 46256. Role Description We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco networking technologies. The candidate should be proficient in routing, switching (Core, Distribution, Access), and Cisco wireless solutions, and capable of supporting enterprise network environments. The role also requires client handling experience and coordination with on-site field teams for issue resolution. Role Description The Technical Delivery Lead is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of complex network work packages, leading outcomes through service management of external partners and strategic suppliers and influencing matrixed internal teams to ensure delivery is controlled, assured, and aligned to agreed milestones, standards, and service commitments. - Own end‑to‑end technical delivery of complex network work packages, from mobilisation through to acceptance and handover. - Service‑manage external delivery partners (onshore and offshore), setting, monitoring and enforcing SLAs, KPIs and OLAs to ensure predictable, high‑quality outcomes. - Act as the primary technical delivery authority and escalation point for assigned programmes, resolving delivery risks, dependencies, and cross‑functional conflicts. - Matrix‑manage internal resources across planning, build, operations, and commercial teams to align priorities and remove delivery blockers. - Govern delivery through structured reporting, RAID management, milestone tracking, and service reviews with internal stakeholders and partners. - Assure delivered solutions meet technical standards, architectural intent, safety, and quality requirements. - Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance, partner effectiveness, and service management disciplines. - Represent technical delivery in programme, portfolio and governance forums, providing clear status, risk, and decision recommendations. Qualifications - Experience in telecommunications network delivery/engineering roles with strong Transmission/Optical/IP/Fibre exposure. - Proven experience managing externally delivered work packages using formal service management and governance frameworks. - Strong understanding of end to end network delivery lifecycle, including design assurance, build, test, acceptance and handover. - Deep expertise in fibre, transmission, access network & associated network infrastructure. - Demonstrated ability to lead delivery without line management, influencing senior stakeholders, partners, and matrix teams. - Experience owning delivery performance, risk, and issue resolution across multiple concurrent workstreams. - Comfortable operating at pace in a commercially constrained, outcome‑driven environment. - Excellent stakeholder, communication, and escalation‑management skills.
