• Design Reactor Modifications based on design input, product and customer requirements, industry codes and standards, and operating environment within defined schedule and cost limits • Prepare 3D models, drawings, perform analysis and create specifications to support hardware development • Collaborate with the Tooling Team, Analysis Teams, Field Deployment Teams, and Services Business to deliver designs that meet our standards for Nuclear Quality and Safety • Perform design reviews to present your design to engineering peers and leadership and obtain feedback • Provide technical support throughout the procurement and fabrication process • Document the final design to ensure it meets all application and design requirements • Engage in emergent issue support of customers during Outage Season to help solve challenging problems with technical guidance and fast-paced design, build, test response
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting practices (2D drawings, 3D modeling) in a commercial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude, desire to innovate and solve problems with mechanical design
- Finite Element Analysis experience is preferred
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% domestically

Role Description Intertek Multinational Company Leader in ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, Certification) is seeking experienced Fitness-For-Service Mechanical Integrity Engineers for upcoming work related to Brownfield EPC modifications, revamp projects, and operational integrity programs across multiple Energy assets. This role focuses on evaluating existing equipment, legacy systems, and in‑service degradation to support engineering decisions related to re‑rating, tie‑ins, life extension, defect assessment, and mechanical integrity assurance. The FFS Mechanical Integrity Engineer provides technical authority in API 579/ASME FFS‑1 assessments and mechanical integrity engineering, ensuring that all evaluations and recommendations are technically defensible, compliant with international codes, and aligned with Client integrity requirements. Responsibilities - Perform API 579 Level 1 and Level 2 FFS assessments for metal loss, pitting, LTAs, crack‑like flaws, dents, gouges, creep, and high‑temperature damage on in‑service assets. - Conduct remaining life evaluations, safe operating limit assessments, and engineering recommendations for continued operation, derating, or repair. - Interpret inspection and NDT data (both advanced and conventional methods) and correlate findings with applicable damage mechanisms. - Support Level 3 assessments through stress analysis and FEA tools when required. - Perform mechanical integrity evaluations for pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and static equipment, including rerating, repair justification, and alteration assessments. - Evaluate legacy equipment for revamp, tie‑in, and re‑use scenarios during Brownfield EPC projects. - Review historical inspection data, operational records, and EPC deliverables to validate inputs for FFS and Mechanical Integrity assessments. - Provide technical input to repair plans, temporary repairs, and life‑extension strategies in accordance with API 579, API 510/570, and ASME codes. - Contribute to RBI programs by validating degradation mechanisms, PoF inputs, inspection strategies, and risk‑ranking logic. - Prepare detailed FFS reports, engineering justifications, and recommendations for Client Asset Integrity / EPC teams. - Interface with Corrosion, Mechanical, Process, and Inspection teams to resolve data gaps and ensure alignment across disciplines. - Ensure all FFS work complies with API 579/ASME FFS‑1, ASME VIII, B31.3, API 510/570, and Client standards.
