• Personally handle and resolve physical and material damage claims from start to finish. • Partner closely with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to manage and oversee third-party property damage and bodily injury claims, ensuring robust liability determination and defense strategies. • Serve as the daily operational point of contact for the TPA. Monitor open files, ensure strict adherence to agreed SLAs, and approve settlements within your delegated authority limits. • Review police reports, renter statements, photos, and estimates to determine liability, coverage applicability, and damages. • Critically analyze valuation reports (CCC, Audatex, etc.) for totaled or stolen vehicles. Aggressively challenge the Actual Cash Value (ACV) calculated by TPAs or carriers. • Manage the documentation, filing, and resolution of all GAP insurance claims to secure seamless financial recovery following primary ACV payouts. • Actively pursue and collect deductibles, repair costs, and third-party damages directly from renters or their personal insurance providers based on their specific protection plans. • Establish, track, and enforce recovery payment plans with renters when immediate full payment is not possible. • Handle renter escalations regarding damage charges and billing disputes with firmness, fairness, and professionalism. • Keep the Global Head of Insurance continuously informed of high-severity claims, ACV negotiation wins, and operational bottlenecks. • Ensure all claims processes strictly align with our Insurer's compliance guidelines and reporting requirements. • Serve as the daily operational claims contact for our strategic partners to resolve fleet incidents efficiently.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on claims handling experience in the U.S., specifically covering Auto Physical Damage, Property Damage, and Third-Party Liability.
- A proven track record in total loss management and successfully negotiating/challenging Actual Cash Value (ACV) with adjusters or carriers.
- Experience working within a self-insured program or closely managing a TPA relationship.
- Strong experience in auto subrogation or recovering damage costs directly from individuals/renters.
- Solid familiarity with GAP insurance claims processes.
- Highly autonomous and comfortable in a fast-paced, "hands-on" operational environment.
- Active Adjuster License(s) in key US states preferred.
