Job Description
Senior Partnerships Manager
Vocal Media
• Own the development of client-facing proposals and pitch materials — this is the core of the role; produce customized, long-term and rapid response proposals that reflect a deep understanding of each client's goals, issue area, and strategic priorities • Develop the nuanced understanding needed to tailor proposals to different types of clients — knowing what a political funder needs to see versus a climate organization versus a reproductive rights group, and crafting each pitch accordingly • Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships, pushing clients to think long-term and try new formats, platforms, and approaches that deepen and grow our work together • Conduct robust research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, tools, and tactics across the broader digital world — translating findings into fresh ideas and concrete proposals clients are excited to act on • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the future of digital media and emerging tactics, bringing a sharp, informed perspective to every pitch and sales setting • Prioritize innovation and maintain a critical eye on program design — question assumptions and revisit strategy often to ensure continuous improvement • Support client relationships by staying informed on account goals and contributing strategic thinking to partnership development, producing polished drafts that are ready for director review • Partner with the Partnerships Associate to ensure operational systems, timelines, and deliverables are running smoothly • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support seamless campaign execution
Job Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in partnerships, media strategy, branded content, or business development — agency or digital media environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop highly customized proposals and pitch materials tailored to specific audiences, issue areas, and organizational goals
- Expertise on the ever-changing digital landscape, particularly as it pertains to reaching niche audiences and how content travels across platforms
- Experience conducting competitive analysis and industry research to identify emerging trends and opportunities — and translate them into actionable partnership strategy
- Deep familiarity with major social media platforms — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube — and how brands and causes show up effectively on each
- Strong writing and presentation skills; highly proficient in Google Slides — able to build polished, client-ready decks from scratch
- Fluent in Notion for documentation, project tracking, and team collaboration; comfortable maintaining and navigating shared workspaces
- Experience with CRM tools and project management platforms (Airtable a plus)
- Familiarity with AI tools and workflow optimization a plus
- Must be based in the continental United States
Benefits
- Health insurance covered at 90% for full-time employees; Dental and Vision available
- Flexible PTO and sick leave
