Role Description The AVP, Response Marketing owns and leads the strategic development and execution of integrated non-digital direct response efforts (Direct Mail, Radio, DRTV, Print) that generate multi-million dollars annually, driving direct donor acquisition, retention, and engagement while strengthening the pipeline across all fundraising channels while leading a team of Response Marketing professionals. Location Requirements: Remote - Flexible Location. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in direct marketing strategy and campaign execution, including mail with a strong focus on fundraising and analytics. - Proven leadership in managing internal teams and external vendors, with 4+ years overseeing high-performing, often remote, workgroups and agency partners. - Expertise in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans, driving process improvements and operational excellence in complex organizational environments. - Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with a track record of cross-functional leadership to achieve fundraising and marketing goals. - Extensive experience leveraging customer databases and marketing automation tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or HubSpot to support data-driven campaign strategies. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a preference for experience in direct response fundraising copywriting and editing. - Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities, including familiarity with tools like SQL to evaluate campaign performance and inform decision-making.
