Senior Data Analyst

LawPay

• Perform ad hoc analysis to determine identify trends and underlying root causes across 8am’s product ecosystem • Work with Data Engineering to automate data transformations based on findings • Work cross-functionally with other teams like Finance, Accounting, Partnerships and Product to convert data into insights • Manage all steps of the data lifecycle (Collection, measurement, analysis, interpretation, presentation), provide qualitative and quantitative analysis and be able to present findings to stakeholders along with recommendations supported by rigorous analysis and statistics. • Translate and summarize data into formats that help stakeholders make decisions quickly • Develop rich, interactive visualizations to help stakeholders understand their area of the business and translate insights to data-driven decisions • Communicate insights clearly through written summaries, presentations, and data storytelling tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences • Analyze historical data, define best practices, and identify opportunities for optimization. • Gather Data from Internal and External Sources as needed to provide the full view of problems or opportunities • Explore the data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends. • Handle multiple projects and meet deliverables

Job Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Quantitative field (Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • You can perform advanced data transformations in SQL and Excel
  • You are experienced in transforming, analyzing, and visualizing data in Python
  • Experience using GenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc) to create interactive data tools
  • You are experienced using a BI or visualization software (ex. Tableau, Sigma etc.)
  • Experience working with modern data stacks, including cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Prior exposure to experimentation, cohort analysis, or product usage analytics
  • 4+ years experience in banking, payment processing, or other finance technology
  • 2+ Experience in B2B SaaS software or other subscription-based businesses
  • You are a team player with a positive and can-do attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, inquisitive, self-starter, energetic and striving in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to independently scope ambiguous problems, structure analyses, and deliver actionable recommendations and solutions
  • You have strong communication skills, written and verbal; ability to present data and its implications in a clear, concise manner; balancing technical and business perspectives.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
