• Work with a cross-functional team to build products that empower artists and record labels across the globe • Contribute across all tiers of our architecture, with a frontend emphasis (~60% frontend / 40% backend), to produce high-quality, robust user experiences • Help drive high-priority platform initiatives, including migrating analytics from BigQuery to Snowflake via Kafka, transitioning off DynamoDB, and moving hosting from Vercel to AWS • Work closely with fellow engineers on the Songwhip team to collaborate on solutions and unblock work • Work closely with product management to understand client requirements and turn them into technical solutions • Participate in re-architecture, refinement, and technical design • Balance planned development work with immediate production support, shifting priorities quickly when needed • Write clean, tested, maintainable code, using AI tooling to accelerate delivery while staying critical of the generated output
Job Requirements
- Strong full-stack experience with Node.js, React, Next.js, and TypeScript, plus working proficiency in Python
- Experience building complex frontend applications (TypeScript, React, Next.js)
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB; exposure to Snowflake, Kafka, and BigQuery is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Neo4j is a plus (used within our internal permissioning platform)
- Solid AWS experience; comfortable supporting infrastructure and hosting migrations
- Proficiency with Claude (or comparable AI coding tools) to accelerate development — able to guide AI effectively while remaining critical of the code it produces (we run an enterprise Claude account)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Terraform, and with standard PR protocols
- Comfortable working in an agile team: two-week sprints, daily standups, and Jira for task management
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
