Senior BIM/VDC Piping Project Lead

• Perform modeling of specific or multiple systems/disciplines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, cost-effective shop drawings. • Oversee the 3D modeling and coordination process across one or more projects. • Assist the BIM/VDC Manager to cultivate a team focused on strategic planning, cost-conscious execution, and continuous improvement. • Promote company culture, attitude, and commitment. • Support team members in interpreting code requirements, developing and executing project strategies, and applying the company’s best practices. • Manage BIM subcontractors on specific job assignments. • Participate in weekly staff and project meetings to ensure deadlines and quality are met. • Assist Regional operations teams and BIM/VDC Managers to keep up with software developments, database improvements, BIM/VDC advancements, and training initiatives.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in BIM Piping processes for large commercial construction projects.
- Expert building systems, code, fabrication, and installation knowledge.
- Expert software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Fabrication, and Bluebeam) knowledge.
- Complete understanding of the BIM/VDC process.
- Ability to maintain patience and understanding in a stress-filled environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- Experience in a leadership role with responsibility for development of others.
