GIS Analyst

• Supports the development of spatial data management solutions and analytics to enhance project and operational outcomes. • Responsible for managing project phases, collaborating with project teams, and integrating new and existing datasets to conduct analyses. • Performs advanced geospatial data manipulation, management, and analysis to support a wide range of projects. • Integrates CAD and GIS workflows, leveraging ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Autodesk, and Bentley MicroStation to meet project requirements. • Configures and manages ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and ArcGIS Online (Web GIS) environments to support enterprise geospatial needs. • Develops and deploys GIS applications, including Experience Builder, Story Maps, custom applications, and mobile solutions such as Survey123, and Field Maps. • Utilizes ArcGIS Desktop and related tools to create, edit, and analyze spatial data. • Conducts cartographic design and visualization to effectively communicate complex spatial information. • Applies GIS tools for network modeling and analysis, with a strong emphasis on Utility Network (water and electric) data models to support asset management, operations, and decision making. • Designs, configures, and supports Esri Utility Network implementations, including development and maintenance of water and electric data models, rules, and network topology. • Supports migration of legacy GIS and CAD data into Utility Network schemas, including data mapping, validation, and QA/QC workflows. • Processes and analyzes UAV/drone imagery and point cloud data to enhance project deliverables. • Conceptualizes and executes projects from start to finish, collaborating with internal teams and external clients. • Provides GIS training and technical expertise to staff; educates users on CAD and GIS programs and their effective use. • Identifies opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency through expanded GIS adoption. • Designs and implements tools to automate workflows and improve processes (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder).
Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS related field (Survey Technology, Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science) or related field of study preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ job-related experience
- GIS Certificate preferred.
- Experience with Esri Utility Network, including water and/or electric utility data model design, configuration, or implementation (highly preferred).
- Demonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the field.
- Proficient in CAD and GIS integration, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Bentley MicroStation, SQL/and Server infrastructure and other related software programs.
- Experience with UAV/Drone and Point cloud data preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.

This role transforms GIS from a map-making function into a decision-making platform by building an authoritative spatial data foundation, integrating with inspection, operations, and compliance systems, and delivering risk-based analytics that drive operational and integrity decisions. Reporting into the Integrity and Quality group the specialist will ensure the program stays operationally driven. They will design the enterprise data model and standards, build spatial dashboards, lead mobile field data collection workflows, and own the long-term capability roadmap from foundational centerline data through predictive analytics and digital twin integration. This is a greenfield opportunity to stand up a GIS program from the ground up within a growing midstream organization operating over 2,000 miles of gathering pipelines. The successful candidate will combine pipeline operations knowledge with enterprise GIS architecture skills to deliver measurable value across inspection planning, construction support, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. New Cataloger training typically lasts only a few days and consists of some the following: - The Still Imagery Repository Lead will sit with a new Cataloger for no more than 16 non-consecutive hours. - The Cataloger watches fly-through tours of the ISS for familiarization and will review still imagery reference material. - As part of training with the Lead, the Cataloger is walked through the Still Imagery Repository Continuity Book manual.
