Bilingual Data Entry Specialist – 1 Year Contract

• Management of information and pharmacovigilance: receive, scan and document all relevant clinical information in compliance with SOPs/protocols and applicable legislation. • Respond to medical information inquiries using the approved FAQ. • Work directly with internal and external clients to request additional information or clarifications as needed. • Review patient information in the database and ensure documentation is accurate according to client requirements. • Attach post-infusion reports to databases to ensure appropriate documentation for patient support and drug safety program needs. • Enter data into program-specific databases. • Sort and file incoming faxes and documents. • Perform quality checks related to adverse event reports in accordance with work instructions. • Perform or assist with source data verification. • Other duties and tasks may be assigned to the Pharmacovigilance Assistant I from time to time as required. • This role may require being on call or on standby.
Job Requirements
- Minimum college-level education required.
- A degree or certificate with a concentration in a life sciences program is a strong asset.
- Experience in medical information, clinical research, or drug safety, or equivalent related experience in pharmacy or another pharmaceutical industry area is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of the pharmacovigilance industry, including current knowledge of Health Canada, US FDA, EMEA and ICH pharmacovigilance guidelines.
- Ability to adapt to change and acquire new skills as needed.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar administrative or data entry role.
- Experience with Salesforce software (or experience with a CRM system) an asset.
- Experience with faxing software (MyFax or RightFax) an asset.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
