Agile Developer

LTS

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications supporting VA healthcare modernization initiatives. • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and demos. • Develop and enhance applications integrating with legacy and modern healthcare systems. • Support modernization efforts involving legacy VistA/MUMPS-based environments and enterprise integration platforms. • Build scalable APIs, microservices, and application components using modern development frameworks and tools. • Collaborate with architects, analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure engineers to deliver secure and reliable solutions. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps processes, and automated testing initiatives. • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and integration challenges. • Develop technical documentation including user stories, technical specifications, code documentation, and release notes. • Ensure solutions align with federal cybersecurity, accessibility, and compliance requirements. • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on modernization, automation, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in Agile environments.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using modern programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with web services, APIs, and application integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Understanding of secure coding standards and federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within cross-functional teams.
