Role Description We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for venture capital professionals experienced in investment analysis, market sizing, board materials, deal sourcing, startup evaluation, and structured investment memo development. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on venture capital analysis, startup and growth company evaluation, TAM and market assessment, board material review, investment memo preparation, sourcing workflow review, and high-quality project execution. Key Responsibilities - Venture Investment Analysis - Review or develop investment summaries, market analyses, company evaluations, and venture-style investment memos - Evaluate startup business models, growth drivers, competitive positioning, market opportunity, and investment rationale - Assess whether investment recommendations are clear, commercially sound, evidence-based, and aligned with venture capital decision-making - Identify gaps in analysis, unsupported assumptions, unclear conclusions, or areas requiring stronger investment reasoning - Market Sizing, TAM & Sector Review - Conduct or review market sizing, TAM analysis, sector mapping, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessment - Evaluate customer segments, market dynamics, adoption trends, growth potential, and strategic positioning - Review materials involving early-stage, growth-stage, technology, SaaS, AI, consumer, enterprise, marketplace, or platform-based businesses - Synthesize complex company and market information into clear written recommendations or structured review outputs - Board Materials & Deal Sourcing Workflows - Support review of board materials, investor updates, deal notes, sourcing summaries, and investment committee-style materials - Evaluate deal sourcing logic, target screening criteria, thesis development, and opportunity prioritization - Assess whether materials are clear, concise, well-structured, and appropriate for investor or stakeholder review - Prepare clear written feedback based on venture capital judgment and structured evaluation criteria Qualifications - At least 2 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, startup investing, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a closely related investment role - Experience at a top venture capital firm, investment platform, accelerator, startup investment team, advisory firm, or comparable finance environment - Strong experience with market sizing, TAM analysis, investment summaries, board materials, deal sourcing, or startup evaluation - Strong analytical judgment and written communication skills - Comfort working independently with complex, ambiguous, or fast-moving company and market materials - Strong judgment when evaluating startup quality, market opportunity, investment logic, and deal risks - Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment Educational Background - A degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related analytical field is helpful - Professional experience in venture capital, growth equity, startup investing, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic finance is highly relevant - Equivalent practical experience with startup analysis, deal sourcing, market sizing, investment memos, or board materials may also be valuable Nice to Have - Experience with board materials creation, investment committee materials, investor updates, startup diligence, or fund-level research - Familiarity with market sizing, TAM analysis, sector mapping, competitive analysis, and thesis-driven sourcing - Experience sourcing deals, screening targets, preparing company profiles, or evaluating early-stage and growth-stage businesses - Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, investment memos, pitch materials, market research, and business presentation materials - Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week depending on project availability and scope Why This Opportunity - Apply venture capital experience to structured remote project work - Contribute to high-quality startup analysis, market assessment, investment memo review, and deal workflow evaluation - Work on flexible assignments aligned with your investing, market analysis, and strategic judgment background - Use your venture judgment in a focused, detail-oriented review environment - Remote structure with competitive hourly compensation Contract Details - Independent contractor role - Fully remote with flexible scheduling - Eligible professionals may be based in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the United States depending on project needs - Expected commitment of at least 10 hours per week depending on project availability - Minimum four-week engagement depending on project scope, with potential extension or rotation to similar future opportunities - Competitive rates between $80–$100 per hour depending on expertise and project scope - Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise - Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performance - Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution About the Platform This opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
