Role Description The company is not a rigid, single-vendor corporate shop. Our network is a high-performance, agile environment built on a specialized mix of MikroTik, Arista, and white-box routing solutions (FRR). The client is looking for an Infrastructure Network Engineer who loves the freedom of working across a diverse technical ecosystem and takes genuine ownership of a national and international footprint. If you are tired of just pushing standard templates and want to actively design, scale, and document a growing network, this is your role. Key Responsibilities - Telemetry & Observability: Own our network monitoring platform (LibreNMS). Ensure 100% visibility of all network elements, tune alerting to eliminate noise, and build dashboards that accurately reflect real-time network state. - Multi-Vendor Operations: Move fluidly between hands-on configuration, complex fault resolution, and daily platform management across MikroTik (RouterOS), Arista (EOS), and FRR. - Traffic & Capacity Engineering: Conduct capacity planning and traffic optimization to ensure our national and international network infrastructure scales seamlessly ahead of business growth. - Proactive Risk Management: Act as the first line of defense—identifying infrastructure risks, securing network elements, and resolving issues before they become stakeholder-impacting incidents. - Documentation Culture: Keep stakeholders informed and maintain pristine network documentation, diagrams, and topology maps (because if it isn't documented, it isn't done). Qualifications - The Multi-Vendor Edge: Proven experience managing networks that don't rely on just one big-name vendor. Actively understand how to make MikroTik, Arista, and open-source routing (FRR/Linux) play nice together. - The LibreNMS Expert: Know how to do more than just read a graph; know how to configure alerts and build monitoring dashboards that matter. - International Scope: Experience dealing with the latency, routing, and capacity complexities of national or international network footprints. - Ownership Mentality: Don't wait for a ticket to fix a glaring issue or update a missing piece of documentation. • Implement, support, and optimize company LAN, WAN, wireless, remote-access, and Cato SD-WAN environments, including switches, firewalls, Meraki wireless access points, load balancers, and related network services. • Administer and troubleshoot Cato SD-WAN connectivity, VPN, and ZTNA access for site-to-site and remote-user connectivity, including Azure-connected workloads where applicable. • Monitor network health, availability, traffic patterns, and user experience; analyze incidents and recurring issues to identify root cause and prevent systemic problems. • Support Meraki wireless operations and lifecycle activities, including troubleshooting site Wi-Fi issues, validating performance, and assisting with access point refresh and replacement planning. • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and change activities, including firmware updates, hardware refreshes, configuration changes, validation testing, and rollback preparation. • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, standards, runbooks, and site packs so environments can be supported efficiently by engineers and on-call staff. • Serve as a technical resource for escalated network issues and collaborate with internal teams, carriers, hardware/software vendors, and security stakeholders to resolve complex problems. • Support network security and policy enforcement by helping manage secure access, logging, posture-aware controls, and least-privilege connectivity patterns for infrastructure and application access. • Provide timely status updates, maintain assignment records, follow established standards and procedures, and support after-hours maintenance, occasional on-call coverage, or incident response when needed.

• Assist with a store network lifecycle. • Track and report on inventory KPI'S • Monitor inventory of life-cycle devices • Create and maintain documentation related to network changes • Act as the escalation point for addressing anomalies • Verify configuration of new devices • Ensure life-cycled devices are removed from the Meraki dashboard • Provide Detailed Progress Reports on life-cycle status

• Configure and implement AWS network components , including VPCs , subnets , routing and security groups , based on the architecture defined by the Solution Architect • Support the phased migration of services to the new network structure , ensuring connectivity , stability and minimal disruption • Analyze , refactor and optimize existing network configurations to reduce complexity and improve security posture • Validate network changes through connectivity testing , traffic verification and troubleshooting across services and environments • Work with DevOps Engineers to align network configuration with infrastructure automation and deployment processes • Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams to support migration , troubleshooting and handover activities • Provide practical feedback to the Solution Architect and project team when implementation findings require design clarification or adjustment • Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to resolve network-related dependencies and issues
