Role Description The Quality Improvement Specialist's primary responsibility is to support and improve the quality of Mind Springs, Inc. services. Wellness Resource Coordinator Location: Annapolis, MD, United States Hybrid Salary Range: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly Job Description: The Wellness Resource Coordinator is a part of the Student Health & Wellness Center (SHWC) team. The individual in this role provides administrative support to the Executive Director of the SHWC, serves as the initial contact for students seeking mental health services, and coordinates wellness outreach and prevention programming that meets the assessed needs of our students and the college. This is an hourly, grant-funded position (secured at least through Summer 2028) featuring a fully in-person or hybrid work schedule. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Initiate contact with students who request mental health services and assist students, primarily via face-to face meetings, in accessing appropriate supports. - Maintain contact log in electronic health record (EHR). - Maintain knowledge of available on-campus resources and local community services. - Determine wellness programming needs in conjunction with students and the Executive Director of the SHWC. - Oversee suicide prevention and other wellness initiatives (e.g., The Green Bandana Project, Red Folder Project, psychoeducational videos) and assist with grant request needs (if applicable). - Manage programming calendar with consideration of other college events and staff/student availability. - Research best practices around special and ongoing programming. - Develop, schedule, organize, promote (via email, social media, etc.), and provide day-of coordination for wellness programming. - Assist with wellness programming set-up and break-down. - Moderate virtual programming as needed. - Manage programming-related inventory, determine purchase needs, and request promotional items/brochures/donations from community partners. - Create eye-catching promotional materials to pique students' interest in programming, as well as content/hand-outs for events. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with SHWC staff, campus colleagues, and community partners to effectively execute wellness programs and activities. - Collaborate with student groups/clubs as needed. - Create/maintain and utilize organizational structure and templates to streamline program coordination. - Manage and post regularly on departmental social media accounts, including scheduling future posts, with health & wellness topics and event promotions. - Regularly update/stock the SHWC wellness walls. - Regularly review SHWC website, assist with updates as needed, and manage wellness Resources page. - Generate individual program reports and create an annual report summarizing programs and initiatives for the academic year. - Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a 12-month, hourly position working the following hours: - August 15-May 14, when the college is in-session: 20-28 hours per week o Due to established programming structure, must be able to work on-site Wednesdays, as well as at least 1 other day (Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday). - July 15-August 14, during student Summer Break: 8-12 hours per week o Can be remote, in-person, or hybrid.
